How many times are you guys going to keep batting around this silly topic and bumping for attention like this?
If a thread is just being bumped with old unoriginal content I will just move the thread to the box. The idea of threads and comments are for discussion and to add value not to jockey for position in the forum or to intentionally tick other members off.

Another reason that historians and Poli-sci scholars will likely continue to rank trump at the bottom of all US presidents:
Trump is still vowing to pardon Jan. 6 rioters But even allies say he needs a refresher.
NBC NEWS -
WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald Trump’s recent “Meet the Press” interview has triggered concerns among allies and critics about his level of awareness of the details of the sprawling investigation into the Capitol attack that has produced hundreds of convictions in the nearly four years since Jan. 6.

Trump’s recent comments made clear to them that Trump hasn’t kept up to speed on the Jan. 6 docket.
More than 1,100 MAGA defendants have been convicted in the sprawling Capitol breach probe, with more than 600 being sentenced to prison.

Trump could pardon some of those Jan 6 convicts but not all of them, which may leave those non-pardoned convicts wondering the conscious selectivity of the clemency. This might make these non-pardoned supporters turned the back on him in the end, Fubah.

@Europa
That's true! I mean a MAGA fanatic would be royally pissed after he had willfully committed an illegal act at the direction of and FOR the authoritarian asshole he worshipped and yet he pardons some but not all of them.
But Europa, what do you think: could trump indirectly benefit to some degree by wrongfully pardoning some MAGA criminals but not others -- because the magnanimous prick would then claim he pardoned the few who were allegedlywrongly convicted but the others were acting on completely on their own (ie, supporting his LIE that he did not incite them to crime, it was their own fault!)

@fubah2
Can't speak for Europa but that makes sense from the pov of appearances to pardon some but not all.
But I agree with Europa, there would be backlash

I think those Jan 6 convicts have virtually expected that Trump would pardon himself or herself when he returns to the White House next year. Many of the convicts will not be very happy if they are not on the list of Trump's clemency.
Unless Trump pardons all of the Jan 6 convicts, guys whom should be left behind could be very well not pleased with Mr. Trump and regrated to have participated in that Capitol riot.
I agreed with Zeus4par, there will be backlash from those unpardoned convicts.

Absurd for Trump to pardon January 6 criminals. Even if they are pardoned, the historical record can't be erased. Books cannot be unpublished. The world still know what they did. His push for pardons is based on lies claiming stolen 2020 election and weaponization of government. Purpose of pardon is supposed to be to correct injustices by federal courts that society decided are wrong. However polls show most Americans don't support January 6 criminals. Danger of Trump pardons is encouraging more political violence in the future.

I think he will get and deserve any backlash regardless of side or reason. None of those criminals deserve a pardon. But that racist/rapist/INSURRECTIONIST/CONVICTED FELON always seems to find a way to escape the worst and turn it into something that works for HIM.

Voters have pronounced Joe Biden the WORST president in over 50 years, delivering a scathing verdict on his tenure in office. The Daily Mail, a UK paper, released results of a poll that ranked modern presidents from best to worst. He ranked lower than Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon. The highest-rated presidents, according to the poll, are Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama.
President Joe Biden’s approval rating in November was 37%, the lowest mark for any U.S. president at that point in their first term since former President Jimmy Carter, according to Gallup polling.
