Well, the sole purpose of the Trump traveling medicine show visit to Arlington National Cemetery was to use it for political reason, I don¡¯t have an issue if he and only he was asked to go over to section 60 with the families. The problem I have is then he used the video in a restricted area for a political add. Which is clearly not allowed and after he was told and his team was told they then decided to post it anyway. Any reasonable person would have said ok and moved on. To blame others and claim that employees are in the wrong is just a sign of a person that has no respect for the rule of law or the basic decency. The Trump campaign team blamed the incident on a cemetery employee with mental illness! How much lower can the Trump team Go ?

And thestaff member his goons assaulted was a female just doing her job as per the federal laws which prohibit photography in the sanctity of a restricted and sacred area.
But he called our fallen "suckers" and "losers" so the draft-dodger really doesn't give a flyingPHUCK.
He wants to be Commander-in-Chief again.

To exploit a tragedy by making a campaign video is immoral and illegal in Arlington cemetery. This political stint shows Trump is unfit to be commander in chief again. He ignores his role in Afghanistan debacle. He made a bad deal with the Taliban locking U.S. in a poorly planned withdraw. There is plenty of blame to go around.

@thirdperson
Furthermore, Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster - former national security adviser under trump and a vet of the War in Afghanistan - says trump bears some responsibility for those Abi Gate deaths!
I'll say!
The CONVICTED FELON/rapist/fraud sent Pompeo to negotiate a surrender deal with the Taliban - LEAVING THE AFGHANS OUT OF THE NEGOTIATION!!! - and gave the Taliban terrorists a full year to plot how they would overthrow the now beleagured and demoralized Afghan forces to make a with drawal difficult at best.
THEN....
after the FRAUD/rapist lost the election in a landslide,
trump drew down the protective US military forces to a mere handful, making any withdrawal incredibly difficult, let alone prepare for any and all contingencies!
13 Americans died at the hands of a suicide bomber - that might've normally be stopped by the US-supported Afghan forces - except for trump's blunders which allowed them to be totally decimated and unable to help the US.
Ignored by the right is the fact that the suicide bomber killed over 150 Afghans that day.

Does anyone real believe Trump would not have gone to support the family if he weren't running for office! Did you see the puss on his face at George H Bush¡¯s service? He looked and behaved like a 3 year old that day !

@joe pockets
EXACTLY! And G H Bush was a war vet. A republican war vet!
More telling as pointed out earlier by BWS77 is that trump couldn't be bothered in the least at the 2022 anniversary or the 2023 anniversary, but during an election year - he has his goons shove aside a FEMALE Arlington staffer so he could pose for a political campaign photo ILLEGALLY on sacred Section 60.
The wreath laying part was fine!
The Section 60 part was totally illegal and immoral regardless how many family members invited him to break the law.
But breaking federal law is what CONVICTED FELONS are often known for...

The Trump campaign's insistence on [illegally] using the "Section 60" setting to shoot campaign material is a "new low," said former Army undersecretary Patrick Murphy.

The larger issue here isnt that they broke a law it is that they dont care about laws or rules or decorum or protocol or consideration. Trump does what he wants and whatever recourse has no importance because he will do what he feels he is entitled to and in some aspects the guy is completely oblivious to laws or rules or regulations.
Trump is a no ego bully who feels superior to anyone else and that leads all of his decisions or choices, nothing else matters but what he thinks and needs and feels.
Consideration, respect, protocol are words he does not understand, he is reckless in his self pursuit which is the only important item for how he proceeds.

@wallstreetcappers
1000% accurate!
And no doubt part of the reason WHY he is ranked by experts in 3 separate Presidential surveys as among the very WORST presidents ever in US history!

The thing is trump is a cockroach,he's always as low as things can go.There is no floor as to how low he can go,this piece of f*ckin sh*t got fined 2 million dollars for misusing his own charitable foundation to further his political and business interests (AKA-spending the money on himself).He stole from a charity and used the money like it was his own,now that's a piece of garbage.The POS could of spent the money on children who are handicap or sick,or any worthy cause,no I'm gonna spend the money on myself.The so called billionaire resorts to stealing money from a charity for things he wants to buy,kinda like begging his fixed income supporters to pay for all his legal fees to defend himself against all the crimes he's committed.
Then what they are doing now concerning the cemetery,is saying the family asked us to be there.That's not the issue,nobody said he can't go there,you just can't use it for political reasons,like making a political add out of it.It's basically the same story with the charges on having the classified documents,you are being charged for not returning the documents when you were told to,not for taking them.They try to make the argument about something they are allowed to do,when the real problem is about something they are told isn't allowed to do.They have no respect for the law,they think they don't have to follow the rules out there for everybody else,that they can make their own rules.

Gold Star families whose loved ones died in the Biden-Harris administration's botched Afghanistan withdrawal have slammed Vice President Kamala Harris over her attack on former President Trump for paying his respects at Arlington National Cemetary last week.
Harris slammed Trump's visit as 'playing politics,' however in a series of short videos, eight Gold Star families said they had invited Trump - each of them recording videos which were released in the wake of a statement published by Harris on Saturday, in which she criticized Trump for taking photographs at a wreath-laying ceremony on Monday.* ( i can provide those to you)
"As Vice President, I have had the privilege of visiting Arlington National Cemetery several times," said Harris. "It is not a place for politics. And yet, as was reported this week, Donald Trump¡¯s team chose to film a video there, resulting in an altercation with cemetery staff."
Not so fast, Kamala...
In one video response, the father of Marine Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz called Harris' post "heinous, vile and disgusting."
"Why did we want Trump there? It wasn't to help his political campaign," said Mark Schmitz. "We wanted a leader. That explains why you and Joe didn't get a call."
the usual suspects here don't know better, how could they given where they get their "news" from , concerning is that the Moderator in charge of overseeing this forum comments on this topic obviously without doing any research

It has nothing to do with families "inviting" Trump it has to do with respect to the guidelines set at the location and the way his posse handled the situation. Would it not be SMART to investigate the background and rules of a place you are considering to have a photo opp, just do some simple due diligence? Shouldnt every single decision that his campaign makes have someone doing the DD and make sure all the boxes are checked and nothing is left to chance?
The problem is that Trump has zero consideration for DD and for respect or consideration, he is the drunk uncle at a family party who just barges in and takes over, that is how Trump and his snotty family acts, they are above consideration for anyone else but their agenda. This happens so often it is a pattern, Trump takes action uses words and tramples on others without being smart enough to consider the impacts of his actions and his mouth. It is not something you can slough off or excuse, he does it over and over and over just a total lack of class and respect its all about what he wants and his needs only.

I have just retired after 34 years of service to this country. While Trump is not perfect...I have never in my 34 years seen things so f'd up and run by so many incompetent individuals. You could literally get more qualified people out of secondary school.
This is exactly why the world is on fire all around us and our children have virtually no shot at a life as good as ours. The fact is that the rank and file military is highly supportive of the Trump administration's policies because it comes from a position of strength not weakness and apologetic embarrassment.

I don¡¯t think you have to be so antagonistic and disrespectful by putting those 3 rolling faces . You could simply discuss your point of view with the man . That is what this discussion forum is for ¡¡correct ?
Let¡¯s not all pretend like our hands are clean in here . Lots of low key antagonistic behavior doesn¡¯t get called out .
What you did right here is a good way to drive off members that aren¡¯t ¡° regulars ¡° in this sub forum . That¡¯s not right . And that¡¯s not fair . People should be allowed to express their opinions , and if you do not agree with those opinions your rebuttals should be done in a civilized manner .
That¡¯s what was done to BooBunny here who is a 14 year member of the site . What a great way to show him respect , and what a wonderful welcome to the Politics Forum . Sheesh . C¡¯mon somebody had to say something .
BACK PATTING and KISSING threads are like passing HAM SANDWICHES around over and over-wall

@Barbarossa You have to come up with nitpicky little crap when he said 10000 offensive things outside of that. To defend this clown like he is your Father is pretty disgraceful. George W bush made a couple of poor decisions as president but overall was a good guy and never insulted people like a little teenager
No factual but negative information about Trump can penetrate the MAGA bubble shield.
