There are several reasons why its the best way to go. For your opponent to call is very hard for him to do and even if you have a big hand there is still a decent shot to still win the pot. Aggression is what wins especially online. You never flat call with draw after flop you have to raise or check raise after flop and if you miss on turn you still have to fire on turn, yes its tough but you have to be aggressive nowadays or good players will eat you alive. Its a standard play Vegas especially online and the correct play.
