I won a couple online tournaments and placed in the money on many others. problem for me is when I get in the money on a real long tournament that it take six or seven hours just too get in the final table. six hours in 40 people left and were all in the money with 1 or 2 hours left to play. I feel so burnt out that I feel like not playing anymore that day. I'm pretty sure i'm in the final table if I just hold on another hour. I've actually been there and dumped my chips on purpose just because I didn't feel like hanging in there any longer. how many people quit just because they feel burnt out. how can a person over come this. I play with two other guys,we switch off when one of us is losing focus. In response to the above comments regarding fixed on line poker sites I have this to add. If you can make money playing poker than you should be able to tell when calls are being made on a frequent basis that 1)should be made unless the player is a drunken idiot and 2)damned if drunken idiot is a lucky winner far more often than chance would allow. Once you smell that situation, once you see that you are not winning as much as your past history dictates you should, GET OUT. It is isn't paranoia to suspect some of these sites as being crooked because so many of them have been since on line poker hit the big time. Personally I'm waiting for it to become legal online and monitored by a goverment agency (I might have to wait a long time) because I am sick of the bullshit. |
