Handicappers quantify their picks. Guessers post long-winded writeups peppered with the following phrases - "I think," "I see" and "I believe." On this board I see a lot of guessing and very little actual handicapping. I'll be back in January for the playoffs. Good luck everyone.

True Handicappers quietly go about their business and do not give the keys to the mint when they spot an edge. Not that it matters here, cause you could give them 65 % winners and no one would notice but if you said a play was rigged you'd get 240 responses.

Another part of handicapping is accepting your losses. If I read one more post about how the 49ers should have beat the Chiefs if it weren't for this, that and the other...People that say that do not factor special teams into their "guessing."

Idk, I capped that game as a coin toss meaning either side "could" or "should" have won that game and it came down to what your best price was.
Good handicapping focuses on placing sound bets absent outcome. Not to be confused with objective assessment afterwards to confirm or challenge your original position.
