those teams were all 100+ winners that usually flop in the playoffs

If you bring in Holmes, smart teams don't swing. His outs come on hitters chasing pitches out of the strike zone. Volpe can't hit major league pitching, or even put the ball in play when you need him to. He can't bunt, which should be a reliable part of a weak hitting infielder's game. Left field fly balls are an adventure, as are simple throws from the third baseman. If Rizzo is out, there will be errors here instead of saving plays at first. Of all this, the biggest liability is Boone. There is a reason he hauls in just over one million a year managing a quarter billion dollar payroll. I hope I'm wrong.

Boone's biggest shortcoming has always been bullpen management, he has made so many poor choices during the years.

For me, 2 things have been absolutely infuriating about this team under Boone: hitting with RISP and double plays. I just lost track, the amount of times they had a runner at 3rd with 1 out and couldn't get him home, because they can't play small ball and always swing for the fences. The double plays have been the staple of this team, they just can't elevate the ball and they lead the majors this season with 138.

I hope I'm wrong too, but as always in the postseason pitching > hitting, although giving how volatile Cole, Rondon or Gil have been, who knows what version of themselves will step onto the mound any given day.

Up 30-27, the Bucs had the ball at the Falcons 28 with 1:44 left, and lose the game.

Can somebody review that sequence of plays again?

The Bucs got screwed last night by the refs. The holding call didn��t have to be made, but they threw the flag. On the same play there was an obvious face mask on the ball carrier, and somehow no ref threw a flag.

Which leads me to my next comment for all the cry babies ��. Officiating in the NFL has not gotten worse, in fact it has gotten better.
The difference between now and then is simply the camera angles and replays are so much more prevalent than in years gone by, so us fans are more aware of bad calls.

I��ve been on the wrong end of poor officiating the last few weeks, but over the course of time it always equals out. There is no fix, nor conspiracy. The NFL has billions in revenue which depends upon the games being officiated at the highest level possible, and that is what we are getting peace_5

What a fister fuck last night eh.....The Bucs just wanted to give the game away at the end there....The line looked fishy from the get given that I do not think Atlanta is all that good and the Bucs are more talented....throughout the game nether defense could stop one another and how bout Cousins throwing for 509 yards, on a thursday night an_speechless

So many miscues at the end of that game by both teams, the refs, the watergirl in the blue shirt and the kid holding the sign in the stands...

Oh well, we move on or up whichever way

Thank you. Yanks need to be careful what they wish for, but at least Houston is out. And the O's, who had their number. If there had been an Orioles series, I'd have gone there. I have a friend who has tickets on the visiting team's dugout. Best seats in the house. He was the late Larry Lucchino's best friend. Larry was the visionary who built Camden Yards and Petco Park San Diego. He also made the Fenway experience much better for fans, including seating at the top of the Green Monster. A truly great sportsman.

That was a crazy comeback by the Mets just like in Atlanta but terrible for Milwaukee backers just like Tampa Backers how did they f k that game up but those Mets comeback kids teams like that are dangerous in the playoffs

Yea the pool fans are a bit obnoxious ....I used to watch streams sometimes and those blokes are a bit uptight and anal about their squad...win or lose...when they win you never hear the end of it and when they lose they whine and whine....their feeds are funny sometimes though with how critical and devoted they are...

Not sure why the Spurs are so obnoxious...they are horrible and haven't won the league even in like 60 years or some shit....in fact, they haven't won anything in 20 years it seems...what a bunch of duffers...

This line makes no sense on the Vikes/Jets...Vikes have been rolling and the Jets are their usual self.....won is proving and the other is fading...how the Jets going to score? It's the same think week in and week out with these cats....a change of scenery isn't going to help them I don't think...and Over in a Jets game is nerve racking an_speechless
