 Thank you for the history on Brandy. It doesn't surprise me how much the entire state of Wisconsin goes through. 

I've been at bars up there where they literally refuse to make you an old fashioned with whiskey. 

Their brandy old fashions can be fucking delicious when made right. They usually are, it's like art really.

 You’re welcome.  I think the secret is easy on the bitters.  It makes for a sweeter and more pleasant drink.  You usually have to specify old fashion sweet, brandy is understood.
