I was watching football all weekend and couldn't believe the crazy outcomes.
Most notable:
-Vikings down 33-0 at halftime and making the greatest comeback in NFL history
-Patriots, coached by "Do Your Job" Bill Belichick, lateraling in a TIED game resulting in touchdown by Raiders
And a lot of other WTF moments that I could add to the list.
I was curious and started searching on youtube for any analysis or stats on the NFL being rigged and came across an interesting comment.
THREE games this year followed the "4th QT comeback with 2 TD script"
Here are those games:
Dec 6 Bucs vs Saints 17-16
Dec 8 : Rams vs Raiders 17-16
Nov 20: Philly vs Colts 17-16
Brady and the Bucs? Yes that might be possible given his talent. But Baker Mayfield coming into LA with only 48 HOURS to learn the playbook with almost no practice time with the team? It was entertaining but looking back highly suspicious.
So my question is this: if the NFL is rigged and they are following a script, would it be easier to figure out the most likely script before the game and bet on the same side?

before the game it is possible. i have done it many time, especially in primetime.. In game can be even easier is you know the signs when you see them. for example raiders vs rams. raiders were playing very conservative, carr through an interception before halftime, just tossing it up into triple coverage, at that point I knew they did not want to cover. didn't think they would lose, then vs pats they were given payback by not overturning a td. This happenend last year with the raiders. I think at the very least they will win and stay in the hunt down the stretch. giants wash game had signs that said bet giants before and during the game it became pretty clear that giants would not lose.
you have try and figure out why one side is helped or hurt by the refs then you can try to make an educated guess going forward as to why. It is not easy many times though.

Today I learned so many morons believe this nonsense because they lose $10 on a game
Obviously, the NFL and others pro sports leagues rig their games. If you're debating that, you're not relevant to this discussion. However, HOW they do it and which games are rigged is what bettors like the OP get completely wrong!
The fact that a team blows a 33-0 lead is neither proof of rigging, or even potential evidence that games are rigged. You're thinking in terms that are WAY too simple-minded!

@lordbettington I'm gonna try to test it this weekend. I had a theory that big primetime games are the most likely to be rigged because they have the most people watching and most money on the line.

wanna see something crazy ? Take every primetime game from last season, then look at them as Division vs Division instead of team vs team, anytime you had a below .500 division versus an above .500 division, take the negative division or more negative division versus the positive division. Was like 80% or more win rate ATS

@Duderonomy I also thought blowing a 33-0 lead wasn't proof, and then I checked the public betting numbers and saw that 66% of the money was on the Colts.
This is so stupid it's beyond belief. Why would crooked referees make bogus calls to screw the sportsbooks? Maybe they'd be murderered by Mafia enforcers (assuming that some sportsbooks are controlled by organized crime) for not ensuring a MIN cover.
IND was +3.5. They covered the spread. The sportsbooks lost a ton of money despite that historic rally which fell one point short of bailing out the sportsbooks.
Take your fxcking conspiracy theories and choke on 'em.
As far as teams playing to scripts, that is also bullshxt. There are 1,696 players (32 teams with 53-man rosters), plus all those guys on IR. Thousands of other players have been released or retired. There is a very famous saying from Ben Franklin which is perfectly relevant: "Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead."

I forgot to mention hundreds of other people - coaches, medics, front-office personnel, scouts and many others. Some honest person would step forward, visit the media and blow that conspircay wide open just like Deep Throat/W. Mark Felt and Watergate.

you think its stupid, ok, why waste your time clicking on a thread you think is stupid, then commenting on it? let the op have his conspiracy theory. no one is trying to convince you, the guy made his own thread with a rigged angle trying to find a way to win. if he goes into an unrelated thread and does this you every right to mock him, he did not do that though.

NFL that has just merged with the sportsbooks after saying NO for decades because they feared it would ruin the game and you can't see or use your brain to come to conclusion and think there is NO PROBLEM?

I really think you guys are on to something. I used to think that hard work, statistics, and staking strategies were important. Now I realize that I was wrong all along.
100% REAL PROVEN STAT: If a team kneels down 3 times or more in a game they win that game 99.9% of the time. Crazy right? So why dont teams just come out at the beginning of the game and start kneeling on the ball!!! They would win 99.9% of their games if they just kneel all game!!
I will be watching this system closely.
