Serious question.. who is ¡°New York¡±? What person do they call or calls down to make the call? Or what group of individuals..who is ¡°New York¡±?
im asking because I sincerely don¡¯t know.. they always seem to have an ¡°expert¡± retired ref talking explaining the plays and the reason for the call.. what¡¯s hilarious to me is the analysts and Gene throw up there hands in disbelief sometimes when the final call is made.. replay is worthless after the things I¡¯ve seen called this year..
out of bounds - TDs being called TDs Devante Adams
pass interferences - redskins/giants game
holding calls-most recent Nick Bosa never gets one called for him hands to the face most of the time should be offset and the Kansas City game Mahomes whole Oline was holding haha
roughing the passers a lot of BS calls this year
if you review film you see A LOT of missed calls you also see ridiculous calls and you see a lot of similar plays where they called it previously but decided not to call the same penalty on another play
Not sure how many bad calls or missed calls total there were this season but these were the ones that stood out to me..
im just here for the ride and hope to be on the right side of the ¡°fix¡±¡
The NFL is a business and all these complaints will do ZERO nothing zip zilch because in the end everyone will still watch even though you or a handful stop watching.. there will always be new younger generations coming up being raised as fans just like your parents and just like yourselves if you have kids.. not to mention Fantasy football and gambling is involved.. this massive train will keep moving.. but I will say I¡¯ve watched less and less over the years because it¡¯s becoming something different then what I grew up with and I¡¯m not enjoying the quality of the product in recent years.. if this turns into flag football you can count me out..
I do feel like it¡¯s heading towards Probowl status.. where they just want points but no hits..hence the agility challenge probowl.. WTF this is supposed to be a prestigious accomplishment where you have the privilege to play in (an allstars game) and goes with with the accolades.. 5time all pro 1st team should mean something but now it¡¯s a joke and they let players in that don¡¯t even deserve it.. it¡¯s become a participation trophy..
Defense players always get fined for hits losing money.. while the offense gets massive pay and gets protected..
one reason Bengals we¡¯re jobbed was because MAYBE the Joe Mixon rumors are true.. that would not look good for the shield.. think about it.. a beat up Oline and a star Rb possibly not playing..

When people see how this Super Bowl turns out, lots of people will think it was rigged, just because it will be so far from what they expected to happen.
It won't be rigged..........

I certainly didn't mean EVERY Cinci backer is a square, or yourself. I'm referring to them that are whining on social media about the refs, IMO mostly dudes who just got into this game properly now, all the dudes in their 20s who started with draftkings, etc. The typical naive American, armed with youth participation trophies who was standing there wide eyed and slackjawed as it dawned on them, seemingly for the first time in their lives, that life isn't actually fair. The funny thing is, the reason they suspect it's rigged is everything else has been rigged for them to win up until that point. That's the good old American way. (Fk yeah!)
I know this is mostly novice bettors because when I was like 2 years into betting with a street book my friends found out i knew a guy and started placing bets through me (was just me and one friend at the start) and it was always the new ones, the most spoiled ones, and especially the ex jocks ones who played sports in school who used to say the game had to be fixed every time they lost.
All I can say is, based on how much these guys lost when they tried their hand at gambling, there are gonna be a lot of unhappy girlfriends and wives in the US soon.
And if you played sports in school, just quit now. Athletes make the worst gamblers. They are constitutionally incapable of picking underdogs.
I admitted also,
I almost picked the Bengals myself. But I realized I was having an emotional reaction to the last week where I was heavy on Buffalo - and the reason I was heavy on Buffalo was I thought the Bengals weren't going anywhere with their non existent run game and 29th ypc pass defense.

I will still drop into the discussions, though if I'm honest I find sports way less interesting without a bet on - and I wish it wasn't that way but it is. And if I'm staying off the bet, I'm better off not looking at anything. If you look at the schedule you will see the lines, and then next thing you know even if you dont put cash over the counter you make 'picks' in your head, and then next thing you check the scores just as if you were gambling, but you're actually rooting against your picks because you'll be annoyed if they win and if they lose you feel content you made the right decision not gambling.
I would like to still post picks without playing myself and may do that if I feel it won't tempt me to bet.
Your model sounds interesting. I always enjoy looking at new strategies and you have a point that the casual betting influx could creat some opportunities. I have actually seen that already. my bookie often boosts odds on a certain soccer match here and there where you get like 2/1 or 3/1 on either team instead of like 6/4 or 9/4. Limited to 10 euro.
I noticed many of these matches end in draws - which aren't boosted, and are typically the biggest price usually like 3/1 (+300). It was uncanny how many times it happened - meanwhile the bookie was getting all those 10 euro 'odds boost' bets which Im sure add up to a pretty penny when Every customer with an active account figures, might as well throw a 10er on that. But the boost doesn't matter if it's a draw and none of them cash!
Just last week they boosted a Gaelic football match (great game if youve never seen it) and i played the draw and it came up a draw. The game before was Chelsea vs Arsenal it was 1-1 halftime, 2-2 with less than a minute left and Arsenal did score but they seem to have a good idea of what matches are likely to be draws and are scamming the casual bettor with these boosts, which are really just BAIT.

I hope your deviation model is successful..i myself am done trying to figure out systems and trends for a little while at least. It's all futile, and I'll tell you what really opened my eyes to it. And it's nothing to do with conspiracy theories. This is actually interesting, and what really really convinced me that this game is tougher than I ever thought.
Several years ago, my online bookie here had a glitch. Well, what it was was that they never updated the time changes on college football that were announced during midweek. It's not popular here, while the NFL at least has a presence no one here really pays attention to the college game.
So, several games on Saturday I could gain an advantage on, if the times were changed to an earlier kickoff, they wouldn't update their system meaning I could place bets on pregame lines on games that were already in progress. Sometimes the change was only an hour but usually I would get to about halftime and still be able to bet on the game knowing the halftime score! A bettor's dream right?
You would think this would have set me on the path to early retirement but it didn't - first of all, I was too wary of placing big bets and getting caught. I wanted to keep the 'scam' going as long as possible if I could, and it did go for an entire season (wish I could remember which year lol) and then they fixed it.
But most importantly, you'd be surprised how many times the halftime score didn't give enough of an indication that you could be more confident than in the pregame line. A 6 pt fav up by 3 at half, or even up 6, is that a lock? Certainly not. Even allowing for the ability to place total bets you didn't come up with really great spots. Sure, there are lopsided scores all the time but if 2-3 games that the times were changed on were competitive/on pace compared to the line.
I even remember once Oklahoma State was playing someone as a 21 point favorite and was down 10 at the half, with the game still open on my book. I slammed the +21 (up 31 points with 1 half to go) and Okie St scored like 5 unanswered TDs the 2nd half.
And not only that, but you'd think having this advantage would mean a smart shrewd fella would only bet those games, however rare, that seemed to offer an almost zero chance of losing. But no... I still bet lots of other games. Maybe if I hadn't been too scared to put on big bets on the other ones I wouldn't have, but I figured anything over 500 on college football would raise eyebrows at this Irish website, and Id just get refunded and never be able to do it again. I did make money off it but it just went to funding more bets on games I didn't have this advantage on.
Heck, I even remember there was a kickoff time was changed to later on, but my book hadn't changed it so was about to take it off the board early in the day at the original kickoff time. I wanted to bet the home team so had to stick the bet on early as if it was a 12 pm kick when it was now an evening game.
Not a big deal, right? Welll.. An hour before kickoff they announced the QB had an illness and wouldn't be able to play. Not only was I stuck with the team that had the backup QB, I couldn't even buy out of it because the line moved two-three points, so Id be open to a middle now. So because I was such an action junkie I turned this glitch which should have been a huge advantage, into a disaster that left me with the worst number in town and a true freshman QB making his first start!

So between that experience and the recent agenda of close/OT coinflip games, coaches no longer kicking on 4th down, coaches kicking FGs down 10 with no time left (i swear Doug Pederson's 4th down calls have cost me so much this year one way or the other he screwed me) all the stupid missed PATs leading to 2 pt tries etc i realized it's just like betting on coin flips but even worse because sometimes your coin would have landed on heads but the coach doesn't understand that a 9 point lead is much better than 6 and that 4th and 3 is not really that easy to get (Mike McDaniel)
I have other passions and things I've dabbled in, or even got degrees in, but that I neglected more than I should have as I always had gambling on the brain. Watching film, scouring stat sites, etc. Total timesuck that isn't worth it when it's all designed to come down to last gasp heroics. I mean I'm not a pianist but if I was and I put even half the time I put into gambling into playing my piano, well, I might not necessarily be playing Carnegie Hall but I'd be pretty darn good.
I was living in Dublin until recently as it is just insanely expensive now to live there. I moved into a small rural town and have been spending the last few days painting the beautiful scenery around me. I went to art college and still did it kinda part time but really I was a full time gambler because art doesn't pay well. I gambled on horses too. I can say with certainty that I've probably had a bet on a lot more days than not. I usually get burnt out by this time of year as Ive been betting almost every day for the last 3 months. But this year I decided it wouldn't just be my usual Super Bowl to NCAA conf tourney break, it would be a longer hiatus this time while I try to reprogram my brain and turn away from the most prevalent scam going now - trust me, these bookies are the predators and young men and their paychecks are the prey. Now that it's infiltrated every aspect of sports it kinda disgusts me. How does a father shield his kids from gambling then if they wanna watch football with them?
Like I said if I could just go sniper mode and not bet for a while then bet on what I think are really strong picks and just on those, i would do it but I don't think I'm able to. First, I think to really be able to find those 'lump on' spots you DO need to be fully immersed in the flow of the season and what's going on, you can't just not look at any of it and jump in one day and find a lock. And I don't want the timesuck any more. And i know it would just kickstart a cycle again, that's the nature of the beast. Win you get greedy bet more. Lose you chase and bet more. Rinse and repeat.
I don't even care about the money I'm making this change because I am now middle aged and I'm realizing time cannot be replaced so I'm not spending another second of it worrying about whether the ball hit the ground or his hands were under it, did it move, is it clear and indisputable evidence etc. That sh*ts for the birds man.
Oh, speaking of Birds... I like the Eagles but I'm taking the over instead of a side.

Trust me most athletes suck at betting sports. It's not just me look up Michael Franzese interviews the ex mobster says that's how college bball games are fixed the players aren't usually just getting a call out of the blue to fix a game, they've been betting themselves and got down bad and shave pts to get back in the black
