Huge divisional matchup. Detroit can pretty much eliminate Green Bay from winning division with a victory . Packers on the other hand , still have hope if they win.
The packers lost the 1st meeting in a game that was literally thrown away by Jordan love with his pick six down 7-3 trying to score before the half. Love had very little mobility, still feeling the effects of his groin, Detroit was able to use that to their advantage.
this game will be different. The packers should have no trouble moving the ball¡the physical running of Jacobs with play action from a healthy (mobile) Love will be a problem for Detroit especially because of their injuries to the defense. This will be the difference.
Great value here on the ML
The Pick: Packers +150

The injuries on the Detroit defensive is piling up . There potentially could have 4 guys that were either signed or called up from the practise squad that will probably have to play. Any more injuries during the game could big trouble..This is a bad spot for the lions.

The injury report here stinks, they are listing 7 guys for the Lions and 4 of those are on offense? Maybe they are all on IR and they don't include them? I do know they were dropping like flies on Thanksgiving.
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

Detroit has garnered all kinds of attention for its running game this season, and backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have the Lions ranked fourth in rushing yards per game and third in EPA per rush.
Still, I¡¯m anticipating Jared Goff having to air it out early and often to keep pace with the Packers and compensate for the shorthanded Detroit defense. Plus, the success of the ground game only makes it easier for Goff to attack vertically.
The Packers aren¡¯t a nasty pass rush to go up against, either.
Green Bay ranks 28th in pass-rush win rate and 23rd in PFF pass-rush grade, and the Packers have the sixth-lowest blitz rate (18.8%) while allowing the second-highest dropback success rate to opposing QBs.
Goff has thrown for a career-high 8.8 yards per attempt, a 71.8 completion percentage, and the ninth-year QB has also averaged 255.7 passing yards per home game compared to 241.3 per on the highway.
Finally, Packers top cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) has missed three of the past four games with a partially torn PCL, and I¡¯m expecting him to have trouble keeping up Thursday. If he even plays at all...
Speaking of LaPorta, the second-year tight end has garnered 18 targets across the past three games, but he¡¯s only turned the looks into nine receptions for 91 yards. Still, three have gone for touchdowns, and Green Bay hasn¡¯t been tough on the position.
The Packers have allowed seven TEs to go for 40 or more receiving yards this season, including allowing 248 yards on 21 receptions the past three weeks. Green Bay has also surrendered the sixth-highest yards per target (8.61) and second-highest catch percentage (81.8%) to the position.

Just a note and I know the Lions have injuries on defense but they still have a defense. Two animals in Brian Branch and Joseph Kerby who are ball hawks along with Terion Arnold. Reader in the middle of the D Line who along with LB Jack Campbell Za' Darius Smith who said he can't wait to play against his old Packer team. And if your looking at the game from an offensive stand point nobody has the talent the Lions have or a better offensive line. Then Ford Field and the wild Lions fans will be a huge motivator for the Lions. tootskie make sure you come back in to bump the thread when the LIons go to 12-1

Packers should of played the Lions last week...I look for the lions to be on this week, prime time at home, I don't see them losing... Everyone wants a shootout, probably not happening

@tootskie Damn I didn't realize that DJ Reader is out with a shoulder injury that changes this game a lot thought he would help along with LB Jack Campbell to stop the run of Jacobs. We shall see I still think GB caught the Lions a little flat footed last Thanksgiving Day the Lions will be ready to play and the 12th man will be a huge advantage. Should be a great game and if you bump this thread after the game and GB wins I will be in here to message it.

We all can agree there is no guarantee in sports especially the nfl. I had Cleveland Monday and thought it was golden going into the 4th , but we saw what happened. Plus +-150 in this coin flip game which probably comes down to the wire…great value. I try to avoid the -110 spreads when the spread is -3 or lower…The majority of the time the dog either wins straight or the favourite covers anyway.
And to all those 1st half Detroit betters. Ive seen a few posts out there. Green Bay has been asking to receive the ball the last bunch of games. Could mean an extra possession for the pack…careful on the 1st half bet
