Mahomes will get his 3rd Ring - Purdy isn’t beating him

I¡¯m just surprised so many people like 9ers considering they are lucky to be here . They were out played at home vs the Packers and Lions . They needed missed FG¡±s, Freak plays and horrible coaching. KC on the other hand got focused and showed why they are the champs w 2 Rings. I have no doubt that Purdy will continue to struggle in big games , sure he put together some good drives but unlike Mahomes he¡±s prone to choking when the pressure is on. He¡¯s still young but this is the biggest of stages and that little guy will be throwing some picks in this game - at least 2 mark my words . I put a grand on KC and teased KC and the Over .  No way KC loses this game unless Mahomes gets hurt early . My opinion , we all have them but I¡¯m considering the huge disparity in QB¡±s and team experience. The Lions coach cost his team by not kicking a FG up 14 in the 3rd - maybe the worst call of the year - You go back up to 17 putting more pressure on them to score 3 times and have to hold the red hot Lion offense. I had the 9ers at pick on 600 in teasers and I couldn¡¯t believe I won! When betting this game just picture Purdy beating Mahomes - it doesn¡¯t sound right because it¡¯s not happening. Take KC , their  the road warrior champs ready for one more victory . 

Won't be "Purdy vs Mahomes" its not a boxing match....SF has the skill players, KC practically none.

They won both games because they're better and won them in all facets when they had to.

 They won , barely - Yeah they had a lot luck and I listed it. I like the 9ers too but I¡¯m impressed w their play - Chiefs are the camps for good reason - They will win because they are the better team . 

This is going to be the big back yard ball.game that we haven't seen in years. A real grinder lots of defense and it's going to be a close game.  Iam taking under and 2- for the win!!!

Both the Niners and the Chiefs benefitted from a missed field goal that enabled each to win by....a field goal. Maybe they're both lucky to be here.

 KC didn¡¯t necessarily need the missed FG - that would have only tied it and they would have had the ball back w time. Mahomes threw a perfect pass under pressure on 3rd and 10 to a falling down receiver - game over . KC beat Bills and NFL¡±s best on the road playing their best football of the year - You think little block my passes Purdy is going to beat the Champs buddy ? It¡¯s why they play the game but KC are the champs for Good reason. Mahomes isn¡¯t losing unless he goes down at Half time  or sooner . 

Neither did the Niners necessarily need the Packers to miss their late field goal attempt, but like the Chiefs' situation in Buffalo, the missed gield goal made things a lot easier.

If that was the Chiefs' best football, then they're in trouble next Sunday. The game in Buffalo saw two flawed contenders duking it out with the more playoff-tested team surviving. The game in Baltimore saw the Ravens play their single most putrid game of the season, filled with self-inflicted wounds. I attribute a lot of that to them literally being scared of the Chiefs and the Chiefs' growing mystique. That same growing mystique may very well serve the Chiefs well again in the Super Bowl, where we'll again see a matchup of a contender who doesn't really know if they can win a BIG game, and a defending Super Bowl champion who certainly knows they can. That could again be the difference.

Maybe. After watching him win those games against the Packers and the Lions, I don't doubt his ability to stay composed and pull off a successful comeback should the Niners fall behind against the Chiefs. Those were not great performances by the Niners in either game, but those tests certainly toughened them up. If things aren't going smoothly next Sunday, these Niners won't be pressing the panic button like the embarrassing Ravens did.

After their two first drives against the Ravens both resulting in touchdowns (a tremendous start to the game), the remaining nine Chiefs possessions resulted in a turnover on downs, a made field goal, 6 punts, and a game-ending kneel down. The Chiefs threw up a second half donut for the fourth time! That can't be their best football of the season. The Chiefs won that that game because their opponent could NOT stop pissing and shitting themselves for three solid hours. Again, getting psyched out by the mere sight of Mahomes and Kelce may have had a lot to do with that, but what if the Niners aren't psyched out come next Sunday?

I¡¯ll take Mahomes as a dog all day everyday 

Purdy isnt beating him but the 49ers could beat the Chiefs.

 You made all valid points , that¡¯s why they play  the game right. I¡¯m more impressed with the  Chiefs play and I feel their experience and QB will be the difference in the game. The 9ers might be able to beat them in other ways - special teams , turn overs , running the ball . Anything can happen in a game so sure San Fran can win I just think they won¡¯t .

 But they rolled over both Miami and Bills in the playoffs ? And sf struggled their entire post season on top of getting an extra week to prepare 

It's about the script and the money dude. Eli manning who was known as Mr comeback beat Tom Brady in a superbowl  and Nick Foles of all people defeated the great Tom Brady in a superbowl. It can happen

If Niners trail in the beginning of 4th quarter, I don't know if they can make a 3rd comeback. Chiefs defense will be the difference. If Niners take the lead in the 4th can you trust Shanahan not to get sweaty palms? Psychologically, the Niners have a couple hurdles to overcome.
