True story about a US battalion of black women who enlist to serve their country in WW2 but have to fight racism and mysogyny. Similar overall theme like Tuskeegee Airmen (also a GREAT film)
I highly recommend it for viewers who enjoy WW2 period films and who are not racist.

I didn't see Six Triple Eight but Tuskeegee Airmen was good. Glory was good but the soldiers were depicted as slaves and were free black men in actuality. I really liked Green Book with Viggo Mortensen ( some say there were a few historical inaccuracy's). Some didn't like it bc it portrayed a white man as a saving a black man but I looked at their friendship and their struggles understanding each other as the main theme. I watched the Bass Reeves movie that came out earlier in the year and that disappointed me bc it really stretched the truth. Reeves wouldn't have been happy being associated with it imho. Of course Green Book and Bass Reeves are not war flicks but history is everywhere.

Six Triple Eight was just added to Netflix. Too bad the real life women have passed (2 still alive?) and will never see it which is sad. Well done movie.

Lawman Bass Reeves is an 8 episode series on Paramount. Too much was added by film makers to make him bigger than life. He is a legend already without the added stuff that stretches.
