Now that my rainbow thread was suspiciously moved to politics and my DODGERS IN MAY thread ended at a disappointing +5 units, i've changed my mind... I WILL be keeping an ASTROS in June thread!
As stated yesterday, they just got Jose Altuve back, Jose Abreu hit his first homerun over the weekend and yet they are only 9 games over .500! The pitching is the most consistent in Valdez and Javier. Hunter Brown will bounce back and the rest are hitting their stride or they can just outslug. They are the champs after all...
They have a weak June schedule...
They also have a City Connect jersey the MLB will try to cash in on and most importantly...
Protected manager DUSTY BAKER! Now if only hometown Corey Julks coud get more starts...
I fully expect Houston to be 20-25 games over .500 by the all-star break.
GL. Hope you all follow!

I would be very weary of the Dodgers. Not only do they have a tougher schedule this month but they have two players who spoke out AGAINST the rainbow people agenda. Kershaw (who tried to be diplomatic to his credit) and Blake Treinen. MLB is part of the establishment and Democratic party pushing this garbage on the public. They're not going to want the Dodgers to do well and be the face of the league at this point... If anyone had inside and matchup info, the league does. They also set the lineups which have become more and more dubious this season. Kershaw already lost to St. Louis as a -135 favorite this season, he may well do so tonight versus New York.

I haven't really blindly bet any team in the past for a month. It just made sense as I knew Bauer was starting his NBL season and I knew Rob Manfred's ego wouldn't be able to handle it if Bauer got off to a strong start over there. Unfortunately, it started well but then he struggled. Is it possible the NBL has caught all the way up to the MLB level of baseball? Bauer's stuff looked awesome in his first game. I'm not sure what happened.
Maybe tailing a team all month is a better way to go for me seeing as how my other picks have turned out... I'm usually a system bettor and it's still early but it seems like the league has killed what has worked in the past...

Appreciate the input. I have thought the same thing in regards to just playing one team. Any thoughts of doing a RL or team total if the ML # is to rich.....

I like live bets on the ML. Seems to be a lot of 'parody' in the league and sometimes you just get lucky like I did in the Cleveland/Minnesota game last night. I got Cleveland +462 down 3-1 and then hedged when they took a 4-3 lead at +189 but then I thought maybe that's not enough... so I put a little more down on Minnesota when they were +535. It didn't hurt that I saw MLB Network slip in a subliminal picture of who I think was Royce Lewis during the broadcast. I thought that was highly suspicious as well. I wonder if anyone else saw what I saw.
Anyway, I suppose you could live bet ML Astros this month? I wouldn't do it when Valdez starts but their other starters aren't lockdown aces by any stretch. I think they will have to outslug some teams. RUNLINES ARE ALMOST ALWAYS BAD NEWS IN MY EXPERIENCE...

Looking at the away records this season, there's only 4-5 (out of 30) really good road squads. It's really tough to win consistently on the road this season.

Looks like I got cheated out of some winnings when the Astros changed pitchers at the last minute but a win is a win. Almost all of my strategies are off to good starts (Astros, Rainbow Games, Tailing PGAMBLA .) I'm feeling good about the Astros AGAIN tonight as they are favored against Shohei Ohtani. Angels tonight seem like a square bet if there ever was one! I mean I know Kershaw won as a dog last week but he's not as good as Shohei is presently. Of course MLB likely won't make it easy. But a good sign is i'm watching MLB Network and they're interviewing the Astros GM who a chosen one, They're also highlighting Dusty Baker's ascent up the all-time win list....

2-0! On our way to a 27-0 month of wins for the 'Stros! Nah I don't think so but a good start nonetheless... I don't believe today will be easy with the Angels fighting to stay above .500
I think Cristian Javier will be fine but this game might just be decided in the later innings. I guess it doesn't matter since we're betting Astros no matter what...

Let me put my 2 cents in b/c I know this team better than anyone else. They only have 2 solid pitchers in Javier and Valdez. That¡¯s it! Bullpen is solid but if they don¡¯t add or trade for a quality starter they¡¯re not going to be back in the World Series. They may need to trade for Verlander b/c he was a perfect fit for this rotation and we all enjoyed seeing Kate Upton at the games!

3-0! Astros win again! We're looking good for the month so far. Today's not a great look. No Jose Altuve. No Jose Abreu. Looks like the Angels have a shot today. Probably not the best day to jump on board but if you're already here... LFG Astros!

Nice try by the Stros today...came up a little bit short. Can't wait to read your summary against my Jays....it's a 4 gamer. I'll take my 1 Houston win in that series and run.

Took our first loss yesterday and it looks like riding the Astros might run us into a buzz-saw against Toronto this week. I wasn't anticipating this whole Anthony Bass thing when I looked at the schedule and decided to ride Houston for the month. If you haven't heard, Blue Jay pitcher Anthony Bass liked a Twitter post boycotting Bud Light and Target last week and then when threatened by MLB or the Jays issued a cowardly apology to the alphabet people. MLB and the Jays have virtue signaled themselves to four straight wins since including a sweep of- in hindsight some questionable jumbled New York Met lineups.
Anyway, I still have Houston with at least a split against the Jays provided they don't sit starters like Altuve and Abreu like they did yesterday. Tonight might not be good as they face Manoah whose only win this season came AGAINST THE ASTROS. Maybe the Jays bullpen crumbles? Whether you play this series or not and even if the Astros lose this series, I still have them profiting this month. Remember, Astros still have Dusty and hometown Corey Julks. Jays don't have any of the chosen ones on their roster. Though the chosen ones are 3rd on MLB'S priority list behind the star of davids and the rainbows... I'm gonna go for it!
