Good luck newyorkslim. I agree with mafioso on the journal...it would be great to hear how it is going first hand.....books, documentaries, hell even a weekly podcast could all prove to be legit propositions.
Go get 'em..........

i live in mexico and my dollar goes very far here. my monthly nut is already covered from income in the states and i gamble everyday with very little stress as my expenses are covered.
night out drinking with food $50.00
one hour massage(i get five or six of these a week) $15.00
monthly food expenses eating out everyday $225.00
occasional puta(i am no longer active doing this as i have done well over 100 in 3 years of whoring) $50-60.00.
its a pretty simple life but i would recommend that you have sufficient enough income to live without having to gamble and to do so as only a supplement to your life.
there is absolutely no way i would ever live with the idea of having to generate 3k/month from gambling. im not to fond of the thought of premature aging.

i know its difficult as you will always be shopping for the best lines but try and find one book that you like and see if they will comp your meals/buffets. also, get to know the manager so you can call in your plays to save trips to the book.
money management, cutting expenses and avoiding vices(drugs/alcoholism) should be your main priority.

Here is my story. Im 22 years old, had a decent paying job , quit my job to try to succeed at gambling. Quit in late May, was making $50 dollar max bets and playing 4-5 games a night. Decided that maybe i could do this for a living and go back to school in the fall. Got my credit limit bumped up with the local to $200 max bets(win) and a 2k limit. Now i play my best 2 or 3 games of the night and do 0 parlays. Since i quit my job in late may i have made over 7k sports betting , and about 2k in home poker games. Its stressful, but it can be done. You have to stay disiplined and NEVER chase your money! Do your research, (I put in at a minimum of 6 hours a day) With all this being said, anyone who has the dream of doing this can succeed.Just make sure you have money to fall back on.
