You going to Extreme Race Day to watch Camel Ostrich races? Haha, never been there for that. And it's been about 7 or 8 weeks since I've been there.

I agree with write up on sports books but probably rate MGM a little higher. It is good on a lively football weekend and they cover a lot of sports. Also poker room is right behind it so you can go play a tournament for a couple of hours.
In general though I feel Vegas has totally lost a lot of what it was 10-15 years ago. I have been going at least once and many years 2-3 times since 1995. I just got back and I think I'm done. Not cause I got my ass kicked, in fact I got so bored with gambling there that I didn't spend $700 of my budget which never happens.
All these people suckered into hand dealt black jack ripoff at paying 6-5 on black jacks. Free drinks, what a joke. Can't get any waitresses anymore so I just go buy them at the nearest bar for huge prices. I'm not some newby who expects to win when I go. I bet on sports and play poker when I want to make money. When I play table games I expect to lose and I'm ok with it. It's part of my entertainment dollar. All I expect is some decent dealers, free drinks, some music and fun crowd to play with. None of that happened. Dealers are big time cynical and scared for their jobs now and they deserve to be. These casinos are treating them like crap. Many layoffs and I saw a pit boss not give a dealer is standard break after he had been at that table for 90 minutes. Pitiful!!!! Crowd at Vegas is different. Way more kids than should ever be there, way too many people that don't understand gambling at all. I always expect some of that but no gamblers around anymore.
All casinos oriented to the Asian customer. Its a business and it's their business so I hope that works for them. They are losing the middle class US customer and they can count me as part of their losses.
I used to think Vegas would be around forever and always come back from down turns, in fact I planned on moving there when my daughter went to college. Now I know I won't and am not sure if they will truly recover. I sound like one of the old Vegas guys now missing the Stardust and the mob but that's how I feel. Never thought I would.
