just booked the Nugget for March

just locked in my spring journey to The Golden Nugget - going solo this time and plan on making the journey up to Hoover Dam to check out the new bridge - will have a rental car for the first few days to allow me to check out changes in the valley as I never left the downtown area during my visit in October. Will keep you guys posted with updates prior to, and of course a write-up afterwards. Anything new on the "must see or do" list please pass it along to me. thanks fellas- Let the countdown begin.

wish you were coming out for superbowl weekend my friend!!! wouldve bout you a drink. enjoy the hoover dam, but go early and come back before the traffic hits there as i remember its a 1 lane road in and out. if you get stuck in the traffic, its a pain in the ass.

btw, is that what all that construction that was going on there after the checkpoint? looked like a hell of a job to have. that is very high up!!! cant believe its done already

thanks bronco - will be up and rolling early that day (planning on monday the 14th) and back to the comforts of the beautiful Golden Nugget by mid afternoon- enjoy your super bowl time (may have to call it the bird bowl with ravens-eagles going at it)

its OK - kind of tight and lots of horse players on a day to day basis, nothing like the big mega books you can find up on the strip- of course one feature I enjoy is the fact you can shop the downtown area for favorable lines with ease - also with two world class dining options mere steps away its sweet (Vic & Anthonys steakhouse - Lillies for some of the finest asian cuisine anywhere)- check it out, you will be glad you did

Let me mention that the Golden Nugget sportsbook for "viewing" pleasure is awful. The whole construct and seating for the patrons is screwed up in reverse. Gotta be many better places.

agreed,,however it is what is and for downtown its the best there is- again for me the chance to shop for a favorable line is sweet

Vic & Anthony's in Vegas is probably the best dining experience I've ever had.

ogmike--top shelf for sure Sir- several months out for me and already looking forward a lamc hop dinner,,steakhouse salad (outstanding) and a glass of Red--sweet,,check out Lillie's next time you are at the Nugget,,simply THE BEST asian cuisine I've ever had~~~~~~~ EVER~~~~~~~~~~~~

what up VG --you got a sales gig working of some sort - will end up in vegas one day for good--- but still several years out so too early to start looking for a crib

No nc, I don't sell real estate, just happy to offer advice....

If you were to consider moving out, however, it is absolutely not too eary (if you have the $$$)...buying a home at 30 cents on the dollar...and renting it out...is a great investment....

lol, no doubt FRC, will probably do the chops first nite, and back again for a steak before I get out of town- Lillies is in the mix as well along with a steady dose fo black cherry stout's down at triple 7- great wings and bar food there as well

no,,its the real deal,,just added a vending machine that dispense's gold based on market value,,anxious to check it out and perhaps bring home a few small pieces
