In LV Mon. - Thurs. Just got home. Good I love that town. Made my reservations for Superbowl weekend while I was there.
Report:
1. Stayed at IP for the first time. Kind of a dump. Great breakfast at Hash House a Go Go. I'd recommend any other Harrahs casino(Ceasars, Flamingo, Ballys, Paris) before IP. But the room was comp., so I can't complain.
2. Joe's Stone Crab & Steakhouse(Ceasars Forum) is still the best for Stone Crab.
3. Went down to nc1cappers place(Gold Nugget). Had a great Philly Cheesesteak at the Grill and watched my Phillies and Halladay dominate Cinn. Phillies were -270, but I took the run line and got +110. Easy money. Knowing my Phillie players from past I took the Rangers & Cliff Lee(ex-Phillie) +110/ lee is lights out in the playoffs. Easy money.
4. The new City Center(Aria) is just too big. Really small sports book. Don't waste your time.
5. Nice and easy poker tournament at Bills. $30 entry. Top three pay. The three of us chopped the winnings. Split $480
6. Town was crowded for weekdays. Pools were filled with nice ladies. Sun was shining and weather was 75-85 degrees.
7. How do we get rid of those people on the sidewalks flicking the call girl cards in your face? It really ruins the atmosphere.

So you are telling me the line on the Phils were -270 but you got them at +110 minus 1.5 runs? Seems impossible but if this is true can you please tell me where you booked this so I can place all of my future wagers there.

Lets make sure we are talking apples to apples. I did NOT make a futures bet. I just bet on the first game of the Phila/ Cinn. series. Halladay was -270. On the run line for that game only it was +110.
I made the bet at Imperial Palace.

Typically, gentlemen, the run line is 90 cents different than the moneyline....some a little less, some, like today with Philly, a little more...Today Philly was -200 & the runline was +110.
What Mickey is saying, correctly, is that no book anywhere is gonna have that kind of disparity between the moneyline and the runline.
The poster probably mistood...wasn't BS, just didn't remember correctly.

Just saying that I have never seen a team that was -270 ML go to +110 run line.....in other words stop feeding me a line of bullshit.
-it's true mickey --just got in an hour ago and will try and get a report together in a day or so- numbers did seem wierd to me but what tahoejoe reports is accurate--for myself I made a ML play on the phil's at - 205 at el cortez on sunday when I hit town,,by game game time most shops in the downtown area had the phils in the - 220 to -225 range,,the afternoon of the game I made a play on the phil's on the RL at even money at the Golden Nugget , was quite suprised to see it, and equally as happy to cash the winning ticket a few hours later - will get a full report out in a day or so,,but must tell you guys Lillies (asian) in The Golden Nugget was one of the best meals I have ever eaten, of any type,,anywhere - Gordie Brown in the showroom was quite simply hilarious--more to come in a day or so

Good job chopping the poker tourney! I also have been to the pinball hall of fame and had a blast. Brought back a lot of good memories seeing/playing machines from when I was a kid.

Pinball brought back good memories.
Sounds like you are a poker player.
I also recommend LV during Superbowl weekend. Already have my reservations at the Flamingo.

I do go for SB every year, but with a large group so don't play much live poker
If you are with a large group, may I recommend renting a large mansion. The last two years we have gone to the SB with a group of 14. We rent an eight bedroom house with heated pool & spa for about $700/day = $50/day/person. Very nice. We have catered SB party at the house. They no longer have paid SB parties at casinos. Something about an arguement with the NFL for rights.

They can't charge anymore, but the South Point has a huge free watching party that we enjoy

My local gave me +110 on the run in the Friday Phils game even though it was 9 11 or maybe even 10 12. so -220 or 240 isnt -270 but with Halladay I can see that being the case, maybe it was -110.
