Excalibur, Luxor, or Hooters??

Which is the best to stay at? Never been to Vegas but I am 23 and going with 2 of my buddies that are the same age....Only going for 2 days I think so sleeping will not be happening. What would you guys reccomend? Thanks fellas

Oh yeah, each of these were roughly $280 bucks on Expedia...Flight and lodging. But after these 3 the price jumped a good 80 bucks or so.

Luxor for sure.
If going cheap route, Imperial Palace is in an awesome location for it's price.

All things equal I've stayed at Excalibur and its a Circus/circus prop and its cheap enough but you aren't really next to anything.Also a lot of kids and E Asian, Not hating just saying.You ever tried to walk a hallway with alot of Asian families/kids?

I'd look at Luxor

Luxor.... But if you trying to save a buck, might want to look at Orleans off the strips. Shuttle bus will take you to the strips.

Excalibur is full of kids running around and Hooters is a dump.

Nice. Thanks fellas, looks like I will be taking a harder look at Luxor. How about the Riviera? Where would you guys rank it amongst the others? Lol and yes, I am taking the cheap route....I am a poor college kid

I really dislike the Luxor.

My room was small, the walk from my room to the elevator was very long, and I won't ever stay there again. I rooms are really outdated compared the lobby and casino area. The pool area is just that, a pool area, and nothing much is happening there.

Hooters is pretty standard. Tropicana is in front of Hoosters and across from the Luxor. The entire place has been renovated and the book is rather nice as well. I've never stayed there, but I heard the rooms have been renovated.

I've never stayed at the Excalibur. I would prefer it over the Luxor because the Luxor was just that bad.

I've never stayed at the Riviera, but the location is ideal, and if it's cheaper go with that route. Especially over the Luxor. I have no idea what the rest of the responders on this board are thinking since they ranked the Luxor so high.

be careful about added fees......many have a nightly resort fee...its bullshit....

hooters is great for a guys trip....out front door to MGM and strip...

think about downtown....cheap and fun......

there is a bus the duece ....cheap...all day pass

harrahs is good center of strip.....

why are you going to vegas?

poker, table games,sportsbooks, chicks, pools?

depending on plans tend to dictate

Luxor out of those 3.

Check into Paris, Bally's and the Mirage though.........

We are going for a variety of reasons. 2 of us have never been but I plan on playing some poker and the sportsbook mainly. But I kinda wanna go to mainly see the sights, that sort of thing...one of my buddies is a huge craps fan and another one probably is interested in drinking and walking around lol. Ha, no real specific plans but by all means....suggestions are welcome

so many things to do in Vegas.............. go downtown at night preferably during a weekend, i think it's a must see, Grab something to eat and drink at Cabo Wabo and make sure you guys get a seat on the rail overlooking the Strip and see what walks by. have fun

Just stay at the MGM. Play in the poker tourney there.

There are going to be as many different opinions as there are places to stay...

Your cheapest options on a budget in the middle of the action are going to be the Imperial Palace and Bills Gambling Hall. Both are located mid strip and the rates should be in the same ballpark as the places you mentioned.

For a bit more money ( This is what I recommend for what you said you were interested in ) you can get a reasonably priced room these days at the Mirage. They have a great poker room and a pretty big sportsbook.

rpuck1 brings up a good point.

The nightly fee at the Luxor is $16. Just an FYI. I rank the Luxor about as bad as I do the Imperial Palace and I only stayed at the Luxor to sleep. Been to the Luxor plenty of times since I live out here as often as I can (my job keeps me on the road).

The Luxor sucks too. Just pay a few more bucks a night and you have the MGM, or the Mirage. Both are nice for the price.
