IMO, I would separate the discussion of metals from those of Small Cap, Mid Cap, etc. Metals are their own animal.

The OP had a good suggestion on small-cap stocks. After all, they have outperformed their much bigger Large-cap brethren. And with a Trump presidency, his protectionist attitudes will benefit those companies that produce & sell within the U.S. (i.e. buy the Small-Cap Index )
