If you want to invest in land and make a fortune it isn't that hard if you have some money. Look for small amounts of farmland in IL, IA, MO, NE, MO with most of it tillable. Anything from 10-100 acres. Keep it a year and lease it out to a local farmer to have income to pay taxes and a small bit of cash flow. After a year sell it for 25% more minimum than you bought it.
There will never be too much farmland for growing. In areas around here it will sell at 10K+ per acre now.
