Light winds tonight...no factor

Perfect race conditions and horses will be frisky and fast I bet

Race 1 - Like #1 and #4 but the #2 is facing its weakest opposition ever I believe

Race 2 - 168 and maybe #5 with closing times? ....you could make a case for #1 being a key but way too much class in the other two trainers and drivers! BEWARE an upset

Race 3 - 167 for sure ...maybe #4? ....#7 could be a KEY ...tough tough horse if gets to front ...will not let by!

Race 4 - #6 is a KEY  with JMAC just missing and will get job done 2nd time vs easier....but mulling adding #8

Race 5 -still capping

Race 5 - need 3456 .....back up #8 and Sing It if still alive .....BOL 

Saturday night - moderate wind of 25 km slowing to 15-20 by 8  pm....starting SW and then West

-I can see the first race being affected ....FIRST OVER on last turn is a good push wind

-Big Stakes races tonight

Race 1 - 5 horse race.....taking all except #1 .....not versus these and Sorrie as a driver is clueless most of the time vs great drivers

Race 2 - love only 5 and 7 but been seeing Dexter Dunn take horses first drive and shaving 2-3 seconds winning in late stages of races so you have to take #1 as well

-back half times matter and the 3 mentioned above are heads above others in back half best times!

Race 3 - 1 and 4  only.... #3 does not have the gate speed nor the killer final Q speed ....pass

-warning sign on #6 > horse figures but why go to Shane Weber from Bailairgeron? And breaks first race for Weber?

-would put #6 in here but judgement call

Race 4 - love 6 8 ....but it seems to obvious and this might be an upset special to either #4 or #5

Take 4568 .....and only 68 if doing another ticket

Race 5 - BEST > #4 and #5 ....I could be convinced to KEY #5 ...#4 is being schooled to come from behind but Sylvain just might brush the horse before the last Q and hold on ......

Maybe #1 or #8 or #10  if there is a speed battle 

Outside Chance > #6

Take 6 horses on one big ticket??

Race 1 - #2 WON fave

Race 2 - great race.... #5 won but #1 was coming with Dexter Dunn...very exciting race....#2 was close also

Race #3 - #1 won but it was not a sure thing

Tuesday Mohawk....there likely won't be too many more Tuesdays which sucks, I like the unknown/young horses!

Weather tonight - moderate to light WEST wind in their face when they leave and finish on the long stretch ...higher wind readings for 1st race and then tapering off over the evening

Will look for front speed in the first race likely...heading out to exercise and then a scramble to get a PICK5 together

Race 1 - can only be 2 horses in this race ....some will only KEY #4 with the higher classification, yearling pricetag and 53+ back half but take a look at #7 >> 1st time JMAC > trainer change to a wizard with young horses who can drop 2-3 seconds from one race to the next that he owns or trains for the first time

Race 2 - #7 looks like an obvious KEY but it may not be for some ....raced higher class, very well bred and great connections included the driver on a trotter.

-just in case, I think you have to be putting in 2456 on this ticket or other all because #7 could break, and one of those could surprise since they have strong drivers, good qualis and good breeding

SURPRISE HORSE > #9 ...Roger paid $75K for this horse and supremely bred and that last race opened some eyes ...I will be doing a DOUBLE onto this horse because of the 9 hole, or just putting the horse in because I won over $900 last night

Race 3 - I don't think there is a KEY in here.... #1 would have won its race but was blocked with a ton of horse last race but JMAC could not get out

-#2 and #8 figure for sure.....I like #5, wow, what a race a couple back and what to do with #4? I don't think this horse has the closing speed to finish the race on the engine especially with the burners mentioned before it

Race 4 - need 5 horses here.....23568 ...no KEY in this race and I would not be surprised if #1 upset all of them but I am not putting the horse in due to being off a month (Brad Grant looks after his horses well and if sent to the vet, he likely got the vet to do every kind of vitamin cocktail money could buy to get the horse in top health!) I will bet this horse flat if he looks good on the track and definition of muscles/shiny coat from vitamins!

Race 5 - I think you only need 2 horses but going to put a 3rd in that is due to pop and I think will go to the front and that is #9 which if you look at his bottom line, he raced close to the best 3rd old filly in N.America likely right now and thats Wawarree Xenia and in 153 ....with a good close time ....I won the $925 PICK5 ticket last night thinking this way

#6 AND #8 will be on everyone's ticket so I like to have another .....if I have enough, I might consider #1 or #2 and have a look at #3 or #5 for a major upset

Ahh shit, 3 favourites...well sort of, 2nd race #6 was bet down as second fave and was in the program

Monday night Mohawk: - light winds and no factor / cool air and horses love this temperature around 15C / 60F

Race 1 - in my view, this is a KEY to #7 with JMAC who has already won on this horse....supremely bred, excellent trainer, closes well and rivals are on the outside mostly ....also, this key....has to leave the NW1 class after tonight and only squeaked in the criteria by $400 less being an Ontario sired trotting colt

-might add #8 on the ticket also.. let's see what the other races bring

-I am gonna play a PICK3 starting in this race with 4589 << of those, if I were to pick an upset legitimately of #7, it would likely be #8 Pat Hudon's horse....still might add in the PICK5

Race 2 - so many driver changes, first time great driver switches that you need 7 horses because in NW fillies, its trip trip trip and driver driver driver if there is no stand out trainer and times

TAKE ALL except 6 and 9 or ALL 9 horses just to be ultra safe

-if you wish to cut back, take 12357  as the best setups /horses fit and live

Race 3 - really like JMAC first time on #3 ...after seeing a vet ...wow and its a BAX horse so JMAC will pull all the talent out of the horse ....of course, #1 figures here and many will have it KEYED but I don't know after that last race

-#5 figures here with Yannick coming all the way from NJ and a great trainer

-#4 and #2 are not reliable and will go in a PICK3  starting in race #1 

-#6 > if had a good driver, yes

Race 4 - need 4 horses here ....love #1, #3 and #10 the best but its hard to leave out #5 and #7 here ...excellent trot drivers!! and these horses fit so you never know as they are all fairly close

-if I were to cut back, it would be 5 and 7 ....I think #10 could be a KEY, but the issue is will the horse leave from POST 10 gate advantage? Dexter Dunn does not like risking his horse leaving hard and getting hung....watched him win too many races in the second half to realize this !

Race 5 - need 23510 ....tough race but one of those should win....like #3510 the best

Suggested Pick5 ticket:

#7 KEY / 7 horses / 135 / 1310 ....leaving out #5 and #7 as there is not enough first half speed to get into position/ 3510  << will back up #2 in the final race in RACE 5 (LEAVING OUT)

Cost = $38

Race 1 Pick3's

40 cent > 8 / 7 horses / 135 = $8.40

20 cent 459 / 12357 / 135 = $9

40 cent  > #7 / 12357 / 24 = $4

Total layout = $59.40

Changed things up a little because there is a major scratch of the FAVE in race #2 and now that race is wide open

one of my Pick5's now covers one of the PICK3s I suggested  and playing only one big BACKUP pick3

-notice 2nd Pick5 below now has ALL in race #2 instead of leaving a couple of horses out, as well, now adding horse #2 to Race 5 ....but, I decided to cutback on #3 in race 4 and rather, put this horse in my smaller PICK5 with 2 others

#8 won the race at 16-1 because #7 broke on the gate!

I knew I should have put a PICK5 with #8 but its ok....the PICK3 should pay well....I have ALL in the next race and hope for a BOMB there as well

Same horses I had in Pick5 in Race 4 and 5.....handicapping race 6 - 7 but making dinner so will be a bit

Race 6 - KEY #1

Race 7 - 23478 ....and then do a second PICK4 with just 247

BIG RACE NIGHT TONIGHT....but not as big as next week with a minimum two  $$1 million races ! You want to watch these races carefully this week 

- you also get a chance to see the undefeated STOCKADE SEELSTER in Race #8 putting his 2 yr old undefeated record on the line and opening eyes up!

Wind > front speed is good and first over because the winds are moderate to light and from the SW....while it won't be hard to come from behind, I think you want to be in the top 6 leaving ideally and top 4 would be best 

I am keying my whole card to one horse in the 5th race due to likely tactics and the fact it is dropping down! Will back up when I get to that race or start a PICK4 in race #4

Race 1 - I think its the toughest race of the 5 ....but on first glance, many might take the top 2 lowest odds...remember, these are young horses and their times are pretty close in this one

Race 2 - for sure take 256 ....but I am putting #7 HighlandBeachlover with Yannick in as well since this horse is fit and every once in a while it will go to the lead and no one can catch this horse!! I would put Yannick in the top 2 for best front end horse driver in harness racing so this sets up well

Race 3 - most will key SAVE THE LAST DANCE ....but I think #5 is a major threat and 3 other horses so I am taking 5 horses here for an upset possibility since its 2 yr olds!

Race 4 - this is the only race where there is 2 legit horses gonna square off but when I construct my Pick 4, I am putting in 4 horses

Race 5 > KEYING #3 WHEELS ON FIRE > has been beaten by #9 ......might do a second PICK5 with #6 and #9

-this horse leaves quickest and will get respect from the horses behind it

Mrs only giving allowing me to have a $40 roll on the ponies tonight ...

Thinking of trying to beat Stockcade in doubles and pick 3 .. Maybe they just want him to get a work in , save his best for the big one next week ?   Tough to get paid on a possible 1/9 

Decided I am not gonna play PICK4 and just do a second ticket with keying SAVE AMERICA in the 4th race

 Not a bad angle.....look at my plays and maybe try a small Pick5 spending $16-24

Big scratch of SAVETHELASTDANCE in race #3 so you have to take the 4 or 5 horses in there pretty much so keep that in mind

Try > 267 / 2567 / 2357 / 36 / with 3 or key #6 in the 4th and take 2 horses in the 5th race 

That ticket would cost $12.80 either way

#2 Cadillac Bayama won a close race over #5 and #6 ...great battle down the lane, You don't normally see Dexter Dunn lose a battle to Doug McNair with the lead and #2 coming third down the stretch! 

ML - 3 to 1 > went off at 6 - 1

Well, you could have spent $12.80 and had a better shot than I do

I wish I had #6 also..... it pays $167 to #3 and about $110 to #6

Well, #9 won easy and #3 was 2nd

Couldn't get to OTB yet ....

Watched that 5th race , never would have used the 9 even though I like Fillion..
