If Texas is smart they will stack the box and play zone and force Zona to throw the ball, the longhorn D is pretty good and will be having coffee breaks in the backfield all night long. If Franklin is smart, he will stack the box vs Boise and dare them to pass the ball. Boise State D doesn’t scare anyone and Franklin tends to play down or up to the opponent in big games, but I have to believe that one day Sandusky St will cover the 10.5. Ohio St v Oregon… wow, this game is going to be awesome…. Just like the UGA v Texas part 2…. Which Buckeye team shows up? The one that played Tennessee or the one that played Michigan? Does this Duck team come in with an inflated ego…. I don’t know…. I got OSU winning by 7. Revenge ND v UGA… hmmm where to start, the Catholics seem to be a decent team but honestly who have they played? UGA lost their QB and their Punter. But we did see some motivation and a fire from a UGA team that wasn’t consistent throughout the season. Does ND sins of not playing in an actual conference with actual competition catch up with them or are the Dawgs finally out of luck…. I got UGA winning 23-20 just my 2 cents worth.
Texas beat Tex AM in the SEC final 17 - 7 ....ND beat Texas AM 21 - 10 and are a much stronger and better team since that game...and I think they didn't have Price or Love in the backfield....now they have Riley experienced to run *not throw bombs but short passes* and two absolute fast, strong chiselled beasts in Price and Love
Georgia has trouble with running QBs and ND has a very capable slot player like Brady used to have or a Ronnie Bell type of catcher anywhere the ball is thrown....as well as a strong TE and some WRs who don't drop the ball much. This Georgia defense is suspect when you get past the line of scrimmage
By the way....really nice analysis by you toilet
Proving is hard. Talk is easy.

I absolutely Notre Dame over a Georgia team without their qb. I usually bet on good teams missing their qb provided they aren't playing a top tier defense. Which is exactly what ND is. I think ND forces several turnovers and that running game does enough to keep Riley Leonard in good down and distance situations. I will be betting ND heavily.

Texas -14 - Quinn Ewers looked much better against Clemson; that's a lot of chalk, but I think Texas is peaking; should be a beat down and a Texas cover...
Ohio State +2 - from a talent perspective, most complete team remaining; can they take the next step
Penn State -10.5 - Beat down...
Notre Dame +2 - Folks were impressed with the freshman phenom that replaced Beck; I think it was more of a choke by my Longhorns, who had limited UGA to 54 yards total offense in the first half. N Dame is peaking now...after Ohio State, tied with Texas as most complete team. Still not buying that Kirby can't be beat in this scenario...This is not an elite UGA team...

1. Georgia. When was the last time ND has won anything significant. Last 5 major bowl appearances all losses. I do not see anything different. Plus Indiana? I do not believe ND has a chance. Call me crazy.
2. Boise State. I think this line is an overreaction of what penn state just did
3. Oregon. Same as above.
4. This one is tough. If texas defense plays how they are supposed to play devils have absolutely no chance but I have a feeling this one might have backdoor cover all over it. Who knows. Skatteboo is a stud

Texas is a wait and see....losing 2 potential o linemen with center being critical could be a big deal for the cover...texas still wins but they will need o line to get the cover...
Ga will control line of scrimmage both ways and regardless if beck plays...Notre dame is not a top caliber team imo and Smart with weeks to prepare will have a huge adv...
Ohio st I think is the bet of the weekend. This was the odds on fav to start the season for a reason and the mich loss may be the best thing that happened to them.
Small game james is a no bet as I don't trust him at all

If you put together a 7 point teaserˇ could you start with Oregon plus over a touchdown. And Georgia / ND. Under 50 +ˇ. Are those 2 fairly safe. Any chance Georgia breaks out into a lot of scoring.

Dillon Gabriel and the offense is tough to stop and he can attack the Ohio State CB's which is a weakness on their Defense. The Ducks are rested and Dan Lanning is a much better coach who will have the better plan.

I think Ohio State is the best team in the country. I do not think they will win the NCG. The path is simply too hard. They just beat the #7 team. They play #1 next. The next 2 after will most likely be top 5 teams. That would literally be beating 4 out of the best 6 teams in the country consecutively. If they do it. It will be a historic. The seeding really needs to be changed.

Another set of 4 games that will leave us going...should we just had the top 4. I love the playoffs but Boise and Arizona State getting byes is ridiculous. I parlayed all the favs in the first round because of home field, I might do this as well for fun of course.

Ohio State-win by 2 TD's
Texas by a ton
Georgia manhandles ND
Penn State by a ton

As much as I hate it, I think Penn St is my best bet going forward. A lot of wood to lay, but class should show in the 2nd half. Size and speed on defense is the factor I see wearing down the Broncs. I'll wait for a larger contrast in coaching to wager against James.
No strong sides to take a stand on in the other games to me. There's some Texasmania going around, Dawgs just too iffy with qb issues, and Ducks/Seeds is one to enjoy without anxiety.

Oregon to beat OSU. Since their first meeting the Ducks have added their best pass rusher and the Bucks have lost arguable their top 2 OL. Think theyˇŻll be able to spread OSU out defensively and will see the DBs go back to their grabbing for dear life style thatˇŻs led to so many penalties. IˇŻm big on trenches play and the first point is the biggest reason. Shocked theyˇŻre dogs here

ND-Ga...I watched Ole Miss play Georgia back in November. Admittedly, the Rebels were at home and still healthy, but they beat Georgia on both sides of the ball. Dawgs probably haven't taken a loss like that in the Kirby Smart era. ND can do the same. They've gotten better all season. Classic case of the "wrong team favored' in this match-up.
OSU-OU...contrary to what gamblers believe, it's not mandatory to bet every game. This is one of those match-ups; better to watch than to wager, two great teams with super talent. The spot is perfectly placed to get action on both sides, and it will be a coin flip game from wire to wire. If you think you can find an edge in this match-up, you're probably deluding yourself.
ASU-UT...David vs. Goliath. Texas is bigger and more talented; they have back up talent too, and they played a tougher schedule. First glance, this should be a beat down. They should have no problem beating a team with a freshman QB and a 34 year old coach. However, the spot is over valued by @ 3 points. And David did slay Goliath with a stone to the haed, if I remember the story right. Line value is with the Sun Devils in this match-up.
PSU-BSU...This match-up for some reason got me to thinking about the 1980 Gator Bowl. I'd just started booking and betting back then. Pittsburgh was playing South Carolina. Like Boise, South Carolina had a great running back named George Rogers; he'd won the Heisman that year. I don't recall the exact number, but Pitt came out the favorite by enough points to get bettors to bet on him and the Cocks. (I was one of the suckers, which is why I remember this game so well.) Pitt had some great talent that year, a young QB named Dan Marino, and among others, a guy on the defensive side named Hugh Green. The coach was Jackie Sherrill. Rogers got his yards but the game was no contest. Pitt won 37-9. Just a flashback from an old gambler; you can make of it what you will. Penn State will will have to really shiit the bed not to cover the number. I absolutely hate betting big favs but won't be on Boise in this match-up. Good luck if you do.
Okay, that's my .02. Thanks Wahoo for keeping Covers a quasi sane and sensible place to visit! Let's work together and get some cheese this bowl season.

Rooting for ASU thats a lot of points. Tex OL injuries. No bet
I hate Big Game James worst gameday coach in america. Lots of points but not Boise's best team. Penn St solid D James dont coach it. No bet
Franklin makes Day look good. Close game like the first one. I can get the #1 team and points but buckeyes team feeling good about themselves after crapping the bed against Michigan again. No bet now but leaning Ducks.
Georgia's backup QB looked good coming in and has had two weeks to get ready. ND looking at a BIG step up in class IMO and Im not an SEC guy. Betting Georgia but just 1 unit.
Sometimes the best bets are the ones you dont make. I bet all 4 last week and swept the board and bet some of them LARGE. This week doesnt look as tasty to me will sit back with a cold one and leftover Prime Rib steak sandwiches and watch.

Need to dive deeper into these, but initial thoughts are OSU gets revenge on a neutral field, PSU and TX will completely dominate the line of scrimmage and stop the run, and ND wins with Beck out and Georgia on a down year. What will ASU do if they canˇŻt run the ball and with their top receiver not playing? IˇŻm concerned with these weaker conferences not ready for the big time, and not playing tough competition year round. ND vs Georgia is the biggest question mark for me. How good will Gunnar be, because I feel like Georgia could absolutely still ball out. I donˇŻt think every favorite covers again though. Books arenˇŻt going to get slaughtered again? As a dog bettor I need to really break these lines down more to see any value. Totals seem sharp, but maybe TX/ASU over. Hoping for better games than round 1, all those blowouts. bolˇhappy bowling!
Play the game. Don’t let the game play you.

i just do not see how a 2 loss team is the best team in the country. i get it they are top 5 but to say they are the best in the country is a little far stretched. vegas makes lines accordingly to public perception. so cappers like you push the line to ohio state being favored. i will gladly take the points and side with oregon and if oregon losses then ohio state was the better team that day and congrats to your winnings. but to get best odds is to take ohio state to win the national championship game now to get the plus odds.
