Futures Conference Champions Parlay 

Sunbelt Conference Champions: App. State or Texas State.  App State is everyone's darling to to run the table and win the Sun Belt.A lot of returning talent on both sides of the ball coming back App. State wants to push and fight to claim one of the 5 spots in the playoffs.  App State can make a splash 2nd week when they play Clemson.  Clemson will be coming off a very very physical week one game with Georgia and if there is a hang over in Clemson I could very well see Clemson behind late in the game against APP State and Dabo fighting for their lives like a 21-17 App State late in the 4th and Clemson has to score late to win.  That is a very real situation here.  Texas State is loaded as well. I expect Texas State to have 10 or more wins.  They are coming off an exceptional year and bowl win and the Sun Belt West division is going to be very week this year. 007 Pick = App State. 

Big 12 Conference Champs: Utah or KState.  Utah, everyone knows this comes down to QB Cam Rising staying healthy.  But Cam is a winner!  This is his 7th year in College football he is like 25 yrs old starting.It's theirs to lose.  I think KState could back into the conference champ game.they have a very favorable schedule and survive the Sunflower state show down.   Oklahoma State, what after Olie? Don't sleep on Texas Tech.  Very favorable schedule for the Red Raiders two toughest games are on the road at Arizona and at Ok. State.  They have no KState, No Kansas, No Utah.  So if they can win one of those two tough road games don't be surprised to see Texas Tech in the Big 12 Championship game.  007 Pick = Utah (as I hold my nose)

Conference USA:  Liberty Flames.  Hugh Freeze left the coffers and the program way ahead of everyone when he departed 2 years ago for Auburn.  Liberty is still feeling the Hugh Freeze effect.  One of the easiest schedules in the country and a very tasty offense to watch, its hard to see anyone knocking them off their rocker.  Only teams expected to contend against them is WKU Hill toppers.  Really enough said.  007 Pick = Liberty Flames

The ACC: Clemson or FL State or Miami.  Here we go.  Dabo and the tigers season will either be over by week 5, or, have BCS NC hopes in full swing.  Clemson Qb I believe threw 16 TD's last year but had 9 int's!  It rests there can the QB make good decisions with the ball under pressure, because he will be under pressure!  The defense is supposed to be star studded with grown ass men flying around the ball.  In their first five games they play Georgia, App State (Trap game), NC STate, Stanford, FL State.  Surviving that and coming out of that HEALTY will be an amazing feat!  Like I said, It will be over by week 5 or on to the Playoffs!  FL State.  The most talent in Mike Norvel's tenure in Tallahassee. They just had a wide receiver lost for season due to ACL but they are stacked and stacked again in the WR Room and RB Room.  Fl State was the recipient of a couple of AL Transfers into the program that WILL impact the RB Room.  They will run the rock and when that 7th defender enters the box its lights out!  DJ Ungalilai will ball out. Special teams is a big strength here as well!  Miami.  Mario Cristobal is a great coach between January and September!  He can put together a roster and recruit with the best but,,, can he pull it all together?  Miami is really good talent wise, but can the guy who is supposed to be the X's and O's tell the Jimmy and Joe's where to go and what to do!!  Don't know.  Sleeper alert in the ACC,,  Don't be surprised to look up and see NC State in the ACC Conference championship game.  They play Clemson and then the rest of the ACC Schedule for them is very manageable (Don't sleep on Syracuse).  If they lose to Clemson and win out, and Clemson takes a FL State loss and a Miami loss,,,  NC State could slide right in the backdoor to the ACC Championship game!  007 Pick = FL State  (I believe Norvel is a better coach) 

The SEC:

Georgia will be tough to stop because Size, Speed and depth at every position.  I think the collapse, if there is one at Georgia, will be to off the field incidents.  Other contenders. Texas and Alabama.  Bama has a massive chip on their shoulders and that is concerning.  Texas will be extremely good but in the end I think Georgia is just going to be to suffocating for everyone.  Ole Miss,, NOPE. ole miss has to many defensive holes to fix in one year.  Your not going to allowing 30 plus points in to shutting down people or getting stops at crucial moments.  Ole Miss will be in the liberty bowl.  007 Pick = Georgia

The Big 10:  Ohio State or Oregon.  Ohio state named their QB Matt Howard I believe will be a stud but they have a supporting cast and then some!  They are stacked everywhere like Georgia.  The addition of Chip Kelly is crucial.  Oregon, Offense is going to be off the charts with speed at WR and an OL and DL that is full of 5 stars should be interesting.  As I said Chip Kellys addition will be crucial here, can he bring the experience.  This is  must win BIG for Ryan Day.  The natives are getting restless in Columbus,,, very restless.  Dan Lanning is building and there is serious speed in track city USA at wide receiver.  007 Pick = Ohio State (holding my nose)

I will hedge this with a straight up Texas State Futures Conference winner bet as Tx. State is +$400.00

Boise, App State, Liberty, GA. 4 pick parlay $100.00 = $3,114.20

Boise, App State, Liberty, GA, Ohio State.  5 pick parlay $100.00 = $7,841.00

Boise, App State, Liberty, Ga, Ohio State, FL State.  6 team parlay $100.00 = $30,870

Boise, App State, Liberty, Ga, Utah.  5 team parlay $100.00 = $12,979.00

Boise, App State, Liberty, Georgia, Utah, Fl State, Ohio State.  7 Team Parlay $100.00 = $129,977

 First off, I did one last year around the midway point of the season on FanDuel. I went 5-2 and Round Robin¡¯ed it in 2-6¡¯s. I suggest you do that first and foremost so you get the most value and you don¡¯t lose as much with wagers. If one of your teams loses, it¡¯s essentially toast.

Second, I think identifying your knowledge of conferences and then applying who you think wins each conference is the way to go. You have way too many favorites for an early futures!

Liberty is the most likely team to run their conference and win it. 

I like to wait a 5-6 weeks and put one in mid season. You can gauge who the best teams are and map out a schedule. Best of luck!

Yeah these get addictive. I have added a ton since my original post. Mine are true lottery bets, all $3.00 or less (most are only $2.00) bets each though. 

FunBelt: 

I agree that App State and Texas State are the smart plays here. However this league can be similar to MAC where anything can happen. As a result, I have plenty of bets where I do not include any team from the SunBelt.

Big 12: 

I really like Utah but all depends on if Cam can stay healthy. I like KSU and even OSU and Kansas as well. 

BIG 10: 

All Ohio State and Oregon. Can see either winning the Natty. 

SEC: 

Georgia is obvious but an absolute brutal schedule. Have Texas spread across many as well. Also, never doubt Bama....

MAC: 

Not for the weak of heart. Could be any of about 5 teams. 

ACC: 

Very interesting. I went big on FSU and Miami early but am really really Clemson lately. Have all three in my bets. 

Mountain West: 

Boise Lock. 

AAC: 

I really like Memphis but they have to play South FL and Tulane on the road. 

When doing these bets the key is to lay a ton of bets. I even throw in NFL division winners and MLB division winners into some of mine. I have about 100 of these plays as of now and will continue to add through out the season and will increase my bet size as the season goes on. I started mine in Feb so I have some good ones that only have two or three teams left to hit so I am hedging against those remaining teams which for most of them are OSU, GA, and Utah.

 Thanks for the heads up and the recommendations.  May lower some of the amounts and spread them around more.  Yea, totally see and understand what you are saying about sticking to a couple teams across all platforms because when one loses,,,, DONE!

I might be the only person here who thinks OSU got worse at QB with Will Howard. 

I also think OSU and Oregon share the same massive weakness which is a head coach that struggles to make in-game decisions when the lights shine brightest.

 I think you are definitely the only person who thinks they got worse with a Senior transfer QB who almost beat Texas and had his team playing for a Conference Title and winning it two years ago. Then getting blown out by Bryce Young and Alabama.

In relation to Lanning, Oregon coaches find ways to lose BIG games. Oregon at home against Ohio State in October will tell you everything you need to know; when those coaches go against one another. 

Lanning has been aggressive against Washington in the last two years and lost. Especially 2022, that gift on fourth down. Lanning will learn from his mistakes and Oregon is going to roll this year. 

Ryan Day has lost a Natty and has been not been able to beat Michigan. When you had CJ Stroud, Wilson, Olave, Smith Njigba, Henderson in the backfield and NOT win a title, it is very hard to debate you about Day. It¡¯s now or never for that loaded defense he has!

McCord was definitely a down grade from Stroud the year prior but took a lot of heat for things that weren¡¯t his fault, ie poor OL play. 

idk man Will Howards numbers were not impressive in a conference not exactly known for locking it down defensively. 

almost beat Texas? Is that worth something?

This is an interesting post. I never did a bet like this before so I will add to this year's budget. I'll definitely be adding some MAC to mine though and I might have a few sleepers in there, just because you never know.

 DK, FanDuel, ESPN BET, Hard Rock... It also depends on state, as different states have different rules. In Ohio I do this on all main sites other than Casers and MGM. 

Last year McCord stats were 65.8% completion percentage, 24 td's with 6 int's in 348 att's. A passing rating of 161.6.

Will Howard had 357 att's, 61.3% completions, 24 td's and 10 int's with a passer rating of 140.1. 

So yeah, on paper Howard is a slight step down. 

I thought making Brian Hartline OC last yr was a mistake. Bringing in Kelly should help. And the Buckeyes need to get a dominate running game again. 2031 total rush yds like last yr not gonna cut it.
