I'll say the same thing I say when I'm hot: either I'm hot and ride it out or I'm due for a regression to the mean, you will have to decide. In this case, I'm cold in posted plays, so either I suck and this is a regression to the mean four years in the making or I'm due to get hot soon. Besides underestimating SMU (they are way more athletic than I expected but they have a short bench and suspect ball handling so they will be a play against again soon), I'm happy with my angles and analysis.
Hope to begin the writeups in a few weeks but if anyone wants to know what I'm playing today (to follow or fade!), I'm on IUPUI +9, here is why (briefly).
I'm a bit down on this North Texas (especially early in the season) and don't believe they should be this big of a favorite against IUPUI. Mitchell Patton has the size to atleast slow down (hopefully) Tony Mitchell. Hart and Rice are capable scorers and I think they match up nicely in this game. Of course, with IUPUI its all about how they shoot from the floor but I believe if I get my money in on situations like this all season, I'll be up for the year.
IUPUI +9 for 1-unit on 5dimes

Tough start to the season for a lot of us, thanks for continuing to post Kine!
I know you hate this question, but if IUPUI is down by double digits at the half, would you consider that an opportunity to get some additional points here? Or is that just considered a potential bad sign that your original read on the game may not have been accurate, and not consider it worth risking any more?
Just curious your take. If I cap a favorite to cover, and they are down at half time, I almost always look at that as an opportunity. But it's a tougher call with the dogs.

many, many times i've lost 5 in a row...over the course of 25 years I've probably come in on 100 "reverse parlays", (i.e. if I would have picked the opposite side for all plays within the parlay I did pick, I would've won).
The essence of doing this for a living is to play every day (unless you lose focus, then take a few days off). That way, the risk is spread over months and years...an investment.
Play 5 times a year and you are gambling...and you will lose.
Just stay on it..never too high, never too low.
