Minny shooting 54% vs 2 crap squads.....but also only averaging 6.5 offensive rebounds per game.....so I expect Minny to shoot several % less and not be able to get many 2nd chances.....Mizzou will slow it down a tad being on the road for the 1st time (true road game) and still trying to work on their offense without a main threat like Kobe Brown was last season. Tigers bench doesn't look very appealing either....so Gates gonna have to keep his starters fresh this year.
Minny has very little expected from them this year. Mix of veterans and new faces.....but nothing truly noteworthy.....
I expect both teams to struggle a bit on offense due to the uptick in competition for both.....68-61 game.....Played Mizzou ML as well, but like the under much more.

A little extra info from a Gopher fan perspective. Played two bad teams so far. However......the Gophers didn't score over 80 points once last season.....and they played some teams like this. They've gone over 80 in both games so far. Over 100 this last game. Dawson Garcia is a legit player. From Minnesota.....started his career at Marquette before transferring to UNC. Transferred back to Minnesota before last season due to some family health (probably covid related) issues. Depth has been a problem for this team (which is one of the reasons why they've been in the cellar the past couple seasons). The freshman from last year played a TON of minutes. Think four true freshman played over 20 minutes a game. Depth is much better this year too. While it seems like there may be a lot of new guys on the team.....there are less than you may think based solely on statistics. Isiah Ihnen and Parker Fox both had season ending injuries the PAST TWO SEASONS. Innen actually played a reserve role in the 2020-2021 season (Richard Pitino's last) as a true freshman. So while you might consider them to be "new faces".....they've actually been a part of the team for a while.
I'm not expecting this to be an NCAA team this year.....but they should be quite a bit better than the past couple. Mike Mitchell Jr. and Elijah Hawkins are both transfer guards that will probably be the catalysts that determine how this team goes this year. True freshman Cam Christie (One and done Max Christie from MSU's younger brother) passed up some better offers to play for the Gophers. He is legit.
I'm rolling with the Gophers ML along with the under. Think there's a lot of value with this team right now since they've been so bad the past couple of years.

The Gophers had no depth the past couple of years and had no choice but to slow pace. I thought that there would be a reversion to the norm after the first couple of games against shitty teams. Not to the snails pace that they were playing at though. This is unexpected.

For sure. Ya bet enough games, you're gonna have some that don't go the way ya expect.

Train, thanks buddy, tailed your pick when got back home 10 minutes before game started. Great work ... really appreciate your efforts. It was a bit dicey at 50 points after 10 minutes, but things calmed down after that. Only real worry was overtime.
