Iowa PG is a a pass first player. I think it will be very difficult for to execute a very one dimensional skill vs a very sound backcourt defense. Turnovers will be created and 4 other players will need to step in with dribbling and executing. Iowa State does leave plenty of space for players to shoot the 3, but I think they already know Iowa is all about the deep ball. Playing a tight outside perimeter defense is the goal and I think Cyclones can execute it pretty well.
What worries me about the other side? State will score unwillingly. Didn¡¯t take the full game total cause Iowa State does have tendencies to relax on defense.
I think State will play a physical game early, noise will be a factor, and both teams could struggle offensively early.
