My initial thoughts: I've noticed Alvarez at -175. I think he stays on the offensive and keeps Lara on the ropes negating most of his defensive counter punching. This fight will be fireworks, can't wait!

I've only watched the All Axcess ShoTime Episode 1 and I must say Canelo looks awefully awefully good. The speed, the combos, the head movement.. it's all there.. But...

Styles make fights.. and Lara is shifty and crafty.. and is hungry.. he will weather the Cinnamon Storm but it will not be enough for a win..

In terms of skill Canelo has more than Lara. Although I like his trainer and I'm sure they'll come out with a solid game plan, Lara is going to have to put on quite the show to take a decision over Alvarez. I just don't see him out classing a top notch guy in Canelo.

First week of April, it has been reported that Saul ��Canelo�� Alvarez is proposing a fight to Erislandy Lara and that he was just waiting for Lara��s camp to accept the offer.

This is the third time that Canelo Alvarez is fighting in MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas consecutively. The first fight was against Mayweather where he got his first defeat in his boxing career and the second one was last March against Alfredo Angulo where he did an impressive victory.

I gotta go with Lara here....

Lara absolutely dominated Trout while Canelo edged out a win.....

I normally don't weight common opponents too heavily in my cap because styles are always different from 1 fight to the next....

However, Lara and Trout have a similar style so I do believe those 2 fights are telling....

I definitely give the trainer edge to Lara..... I expect Lara to be aware of canelo a uppercut and have strategy to avoid it.

Lara is also considerably faster so I think he takes this one in a decision.
