The pressure cranks up another notch today as the WNBA semifinals head into a pair of crucial Game 4s.
Both the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx have a chance to book their ticket to the Finals, but the veteran-laden Las Vegas Aces and Connecticut Sun have home court advantage and won’t go quietly.
My top WNBA picks zone in on three veteran stars who are no strangers to the postseason stage.

Today's best WNBA player props bets
Prop bet #1: Breanna Stewart Under 7.5 rebounds
We saw a desperate Las Vegas Aces team hold their own on the boards in Game 3, with A’ja Wilson outrebounding Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones. I’m expecting a similar relentless effort from the hosts today in this second straight elimination game.
Breanna Stewart has had a solid postseason so far, but it’s been her scoring that’s stood out. Despite averaging 8.5 rpg during the regular season, she’s been less of a factor on the glass in the playoffs. She’s been held to seven rebounds or fewer in all three games in this series, and it’s often been Jonquel Jones grabbing the loose balls while Stewart battles with Wilson.
With the Las Vegas offense looking slicker back at Michelob Ultra Arena, there have been fewer rebounds for the New York Liberty to snare. I like the Under here for Stewart.
Prop bet #2: Kelsey Plum Over 2.5 3-pointers
Here come the Las Vegas guards. Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young were inconsistent in the first two games of this heavyweight semifinal series, but both were terrific in Game 3.
Plum bounced back from a disappointing Game 2 with a 7-for-11 effort on Friday, knocking down three of her seven triples. I’m predicting that form will carry over this afternoon.
Becky Hammon was never going to waver on Plum’s minutes after a 2-for-9 night and she was rewarded with the kind of performance that relieved some of the pressure on Wilson.
Plum finished the regular season in good rhythm, making three or more 3-pointers in six of her last eight games, and I’m not shying away from the Over here despite some erratic playoff outings in the past two weeks.
The 3-point looks are going to be there again for her here with the Liberty prioritizing extra help in the paint, and Plum’s big-game experience makes her a likely X-factor for Game 4.
Prop bet #3: Alyssa Thomas Over 14.5 points
It’s no secret that Alyssa Thomas is the engine that powers the Connecticut Sun, and that usually means an emphasis on setting up her team-mates.
But an elimination game calls for Thomas to be more assertive with her scoring. She only took 10 shots in Game 3, ending up with 13 points, and the Connecticut offense suffered as a result.
Put simply, she’s too talented to settle for fewer than 15 field goal attempts today.
Thomas had got the balance right in her prior three games, pouring in at least 17 points in each contest while still dishing dimes, and I see the Sun leader getting off to a fast start here at Mohegan Sun Arena.
If DiJonai Carrington and Marina Mabrey are draining 3-pointers, Thomas may ease off her own scoring, but I still like the Over on this prop.
The Minnesota Lynx are a potent offensive team and they shot 57% on Friday. If Connecticut is going to keep pace, Thomas has to be in score-first mode.
