Kouat Noi scored 15 points off the bench and Jaylen Fisher added 14 points as the Texas Christian Horned Frogs blew out the Charlotte 49ers 82-57 in a quarterfinal game of the Diamond Head Classic tournament in Honolulu.
TCU (8-1) will face Bucknell on Sunday. The Bison defeated Rhode Island 84-82 earlier Saturday. Charlotte (3-5) will take on Rhode Island in a consolation bracket game on Sunday.
The Horned Frogs led 40-26 at halftime and steadily grew their lead in the second half as the turnovers mounted for Charlotte. The 49ers finished with 21 turnovers to only eight for TCU.
Noi's jumper with 14:30 to go in the game extended TCU's lead to 22 at 56-34, and RJ Nembhard made a 3-pointer and a layup during a push that widened the gap to 69-41 with 8:55 left.
Jon Davis led the 49ers with 17 points on 7 of 15 shooting, and Jaylan McGill scored 13 points on 5 of 6 shooting, including hitting 3 of 4 from behind the arc.
Desmond Bane added 10 points for TCU.
The 49ers managed to stay close for most of the first half, and tied the game at 19-19 on a jumper by McGill, set up by Davis, with 8:34 to play.
The Horned Frogs went on a 21-7 run to close out the half. Noi scored 11 points in the span, including three treys.
TCU shot 47.7 percent from the floor to 44.7 percent for Charlotte.
