My analysis
Despite being without Luka Doncic for the last four games due to a wrist injury, the Dallas Mavericks have kept up their winning ways, going 3-1 over that span while scoring nearly 125 points per game.
The Mavs will likely be without Doncic again tonight as well as Klay Thompson, which should allow for Naji Marshall to lead the charge offensively once again.
Marshall has been a key to Dallas’ recent success without Doncic in the lineup as he’s scored 20+ points in all four games while leading the team in scoring in two of those contests.
Marshall’s also been much more active — and accurate — from 3-point range. He’s shooting 10-for-18 from three (55.5%) during this four-game stretch with multiple treys in each of those contests. Before this run, he had made just four 3-pointers all season.
It should help that the lowly Utah Jazz are the fourth-worst defensive team in the NBA this year (119.2 points against per game), so Marshall should get plenty of looks again tonight.

Another strong offensive showing for Marshall should go hand-in-hand with a good overall game for the Mavericks, who have scored at least 123 points in four of their last five contests. The Jazz have also allowed 122+ points in four of their last five games.
Dallas is the 6.5-point favorite entering play but it’s hard to say if they’ll be able to cover the spread given the uncertainty around Doncic. Still, the Mavs have been rolling without their star player and should be able to pick up the win regardless.
