The NBA-leading Cleveland Cavaliers are back in action tonight as they welcome the Atlanta Hawks to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

My analysis
After suffering their first loss of the season on November 19 to the Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers got right back to their winning ways with consecutive high-scoring victories against the Pelicans (128-100) and Raptors (122-108).
The Cavs have made a habit of running up the score this season, owning the NBA’s best offense at 123.4 points per game, and I’m expecting them to drop Over 125.5 points tonight against the struggling Atlanta Hawks.
Cleveland has scored 126+ points in three of its last five games and looks poised for a mismatch against Atlanta, which could be without star point guard Trae Young, who’s questionable with an Achilles issue.
What’s possibly even more worrying for the Hawks, though, is their lackluster defense. Atlanta is giving up 121 points per game — the third-worst mark in the NBA — and comes into tonight’s contest on the heels of three straight blowout defeats. The Hawks have allowed an average of 128.3 points per game over that span, with an average loss margin of more than 16 points.
The Cavs trio of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley has been undeniable, combining for more than 60 points per game. They should feast on the Hawks tonight.

I’ve got high hopes for this Cavaliers offense tonight, and a lot of that will depend on Mitchell’s ability to stay hot from 3-point range. The shooting guard dropped five threes last time out against Toronto and is averaging 3.8 makes from long range in November while shooting 42% from beyond the arc.
The Cavs own the best plus-minus in the league this season (+12.4), while the Hawks rank 24th (-5.4) and have lost by 10+ points in each of their last three games.
