Bally's Atlantic City has a new option — and new look — for customers looking to partake in legal sports betting in its signature casino.
The retail sportsbook at Bally's Atlantic City Casino Resort is now branded as Bally Bet Sportsbook, removing the previous FanDuel brand.
"You're in Bally's Atlantic City, have access to Bally Rewards, so with a branded sportsbook you now have access to the full Bally ecosystem," said a representative from Bally's who also confirmed with Covers that the change was made on Wednesday.
The change also is seen on the casino's website, where the link to the location's website now highlights Bally Bet Sportsbook, with the tagline "A legendary name, now lives in the Garden State!"
Starting with retail, but no mobile... yet
It was also confirmed that the sports betting odds will be provided by Kambi Group PLC — but it does not mean that New Jersey sports betting has a mobile version of Bally Bet available just yet.
Bally Bet has been shut down since the end of June while transitioning to a new sportsbook platform, powered by Kambi. While the use of the new odds provider is a step in the right direction, it was confirmed that online sports betting for Bally Bet was not tethered to the Bally Bet Sportsbook rebrand, nor was a firm timeline provided for when the sportsbook would be back in operation.
However, another sign of positive momentum for Bally Bet was a temporary re-issuance of a mobile sports betting license in Colorado, which given yesterday by the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission.
For now, Bally Bet will strictly operate just with in-person wagers in the midst of what is described as a "transitional" launch — with the Bally Bet retail sportsbook also rebranded at the Bally's Shreveport in Louisiana, plus Bally's Vicksburg and the Hard Rock Biloxi in Mississippi.
