free antivirus question about installation

if I install AVG and it prompts me to uninstall any other should I uninstall or just skip over it and proceed with AVG installation

i may re up my Nortons but not right now, so I dont want to delete it but I am wondering what is best

Sometimes it won't let you unless you uninstall any existing av software..............I think they tend to battle each other, i.e. one sees the other as a threat.

You can always re-install the Norton later should you decide you don't like AVG.

Just a note........the free AVG requires more hoop-jumping than it used to. They try like hell to get you to purchase the "upgraded version" so be ready.

AVG is great. Mix that with Malwarebytes and you are set. Do not pay for Norton anymore.
