I have a really good friend in Halifax who showed me a much better way at getting your tickets: Keeping a stash of slips and home and filling them out there, instead of at the "ticket seller".
I will admit that on the way to make my pics, I am suddenly hit with an over-whelming feeling to throw in an extra game. Usually when I succume to such strong feelings, I later regret it and wonder what the hell I was thinking .....taking the Giants in an Over, or the Stamps to light it up. My inspiration, isn't always inspirational.
Other times, like some of you, I leave my pics to the last minute and end up in the 7-11 line up with someone using cash/ debit for the first time in their lives in front of me. They usually need a bag, and have some detailed questions prior to exiting the store, leaving only seconds for the employee to process your bet.
Perhaps most annoying is to get to the store (and slips) with plenty of time only to discover that they are out-of the slips you need to make your wager, and don't know any thing about proline. This forces you to drive/run/wheel/bike like a crazy person to the next store in hopes they have your slips.
There are lots of good reasons to fill-out your slips at home (and pay in cash), unless perhaps you are married, and your wife hates gambling as much as my girl-friend does. In that case, I sugeest: under the lap-top as an excellent storage area. As always...
Good luck with your pics.

It's key to have a stash of slips at home, especially Sunday mornings.... There always seem to be an increase number of confused people at the local store and a lack of pen/pencil. Fill it out at home, walk over 30 mins before game time and save yourself all the stress. I've been doing this for about 3 years now

I gave up doing the hard copy slips. Seemed like every time I showed up at the corner store with my slips...ALC would have closed a game on the list and I was left standing there having to fill out new slips with a different game.
Don't even get me started on the folks in front of me with a million scratch tickets to check and then their office loto pools to run through and then the inevitable disagreement on how much their getting back and how much is left to pay...
Frankly, since ALC dropped the odds on MLB...I've been doing most of my bets online.

Shit, Fortuneateson, that was funny, but SO true! You hit the nail on the head of EVERYTHING I hate about playing pro-line. I'm constantly adding a game late, and or, standing in line pissed behind someone buying $20 worth of break open Neveda tickets, phone cards, or checking and replaying 10+ Lotto 649 tickets!
All that said, I'm on a 2-night winning streak, so it's definitely a love hate relationship!
