Super rugby round 14

Rebels did the right thing last week to move the record along to 9 from 13.

As with last season you have to pick your spots when backing the Tahs and Saturday looks a great spot for them. Sharks lifted their intensity last week against the front runners but the fact remains that they are a pretty ordinary side this season. Of course they'd love to knock off the current champs but whether they can mentally lift themselves again after last weeks disappointment is problematical. Physically they were knocked about and I expect a few of them will be missing this weekend. The Reds the following week might be the one that they put it all together.

The Tahs were also a bit battered but all but Jacques trained on Tuesday and all will turn out this weekend. The Sharks have a poor record in Sydney and the locals will be fired up to right last weeks wrongs. If the Tahs put it together they will be much too good. With a bonus point being worth gold as the ladder stands, there will be no easing up, at least until they have crossed 4 times.

This week's bet is Waratahs -8.5 @ $1.90.

I'm taking this early as I'll be surprised if they don't shorten.

OK  I know there's only 15 mins to kick-off but only just saw that Carmichael Hunt is playing outside centre and a new 10 is playing.

I liked Rebels before this news but I am now adding them as a bet for this round.
