VA Tech lost 32 in a school shooting, UVA just lost 3 FB players. I'd certainly understand not playing the game, nothing is gained for two 3-8 teams, to play this game. However, when is this going to be enough slaughter for something to be done. Virginia will unite around it's two most prominent, esteemed Universities to make a statement that this has to end. If the UVA players want to play this game, I say play it. |

Horrible shooting at UVA FB players shot. Va Tech game next week no idea how UVA will handle this. VT will be a welcoming place, for sure.

All great points Frank, thanks. Clemson's front 7 are all Venable's guys. he's recruited these guys going back 5 years. Their focus is always stuff the run, Venables recruits that way. Venables has had a ton of DL in the NFL, no reason to think this years DL is not as talented. Clemson has been dippin into the SEC DL talent pool for years now. Yes. they have played less quality power running teams as ND. But they have played far better passing teams then ND as well. We will know fairly early what Clemson has, if ND is gashing them on the ground, my bet is in trouble. If Clem cant stop ND rushing the ball, DJ has to start throwing, and look out. It could get ugly as we all have seen. ND is one dimensional, they are not going to throw the ball 30 times. They have to slow the game down, grind out long drives hoping to tire Clemson out. BOL Frank I like your write ups.

Clemson 7th in rushing defense, They are no Syracuse vs the Run. ND ran over SU on the road. To beat Clemson, teams have to stop their running game. ND is ranked 45 in run defense. That is not going to shut down Clemson, running the ball. Now Clemson is ranked 89th in pass D, but sadly for ND they are rank 107 in passing offense. Dabo has tremendous experience coaching is the biggest venues, Clemson will be ready to play at night at ND. DJ is the wild card, my guess is ND will not shut CU running game down, and DJ won't have the game on his shoulders. Watch for DJ to run more, like Dabo used TL vs Bama. CU -3.5

I See Everyone Complaining About the Refs Calls..But What About the Missed XP??
in NFL Betting I had $250 on 24-20 Rams. +10000. As it turns out 4 points diff only happens 3%, 3 point diff is the most common at 15%. As soon as I saw that flub on the extra point I was in trouble. I watched in slow mo, he caught the snap cleanly but failed to put his finger on the ball and it fell over. I played D1 ball and had a snapper on a punt looking thru his legs see the endzone clock at 01 and just snapped the ball. The punt was blocked, it cost us the game. The clock was really at 10. 19 yo college kids do stupid things, but that extra point flub yesterday was bazzar.
Now of course in hindsight any one of 1000 things could have happened, but that one point really changed a lot bets.

Super Bowl line of -4. Discussion on "key numbers" and their value in NFL....
in NFL Betting @vanzack Good stuff thanks, Not having read this thread before betting, I played 4 points Rams win 24-20 because it paid +10,000. 4 almost won, except Somehow the holder flubbed a perfect snap for a Rams extra point in first half. Of course a million other things could have messed it up. I don't know what 23-20 paid but I also had Rams 27-20 which was like +1500, guessing 23-20 was similar. |
