Did someone say "hangover"? It'd be only natural for Schauffele to celebrate and be mentally and physically uninterested this week after winning Olympic Gold. And he only made like EVERY putt which helps a lot and can't easily be replicated. I watched until 3:30 am rd 3&4 and those clutch putts saved him.
Morikawa after starting slow Rd1 came charging to just miss out on a Bronze Medal. In fact the 7 man playoff came down to Morikawa and Pan who were the only players to birdie the 3rd playoff hole. Morikawa lost the Bronze playoff to Pan with a bad break plugged sand ball on the 4th playoff hole.
Regardless Morikawa has been great. Last events finished 4/1/71/4/2/14/8 Last year at this event in his 1st try he finished 20th.
Schauffele last events finished 1/26/10/7/11/MC
Schauffele finishes at this event 6/27/52.
Both great players I think Morikawa is slightly better AND this week would logically be a bad spot for Schauffele

Sounds good and the course fits Morikawa much better.
I think the "hangover" effect could be a problem for almost all players traveling from Japan. We are talking 15+ travel hours, plus a complete mess up of time zones. My card will focus on those guys that had been playing great, stayed home, and had their heads on the final part of the PGA season.

Gutinstinctus my thinking exactly to pass on the Olympic players and look for matchups on the ¡°fresh¡± players vs the ¡°Olympic travel hangover¡± players
in that thinking I made a rd2 play. gotta tread lightly on dailies as the small sample size (18) makes it much more random than making a tourney (72) play
Rd2 daily FITZPATRICK-110 v Hovland Fitzpatrick played better Rd1 Hovland was not good. Maybe a "hangover" from Olympics? Prefer the "fresh" player Fitzpatrick who did not compete at Olympics. Plus Fitzpatrick history at this event is tremendous finished 6th & 4th past 2 years. Hovland played here 1x (last year) and finished 59th which is near the bottom on this no cut event.
Rd1 Hovland was awful. He is 63rd out of 66 golfers and was -4.61 strokes gained total which includes strokes gained -2.01 approaching green -2.32 around green -3.79 tee to green Hovland hit just 39% greens v Fitzpatrick 56%
Fitzpatrick wasn't great (E) but was better than Hovland (+3)

Hate daily bets and hate betting on Fitzpatrick. Can¡¯t seem to figure that guy out. Gosh he is awful today (rd2). Daily plays are too random anyway.
Glad I posted this very late so likely few viewed it.
best advice to stay away from daily plays except rd4 when the men separate from the boys at top of leaderboard. And even then don¡¯t lay too much wood on 18 holes
