I noticed after I posted my first thread in here that there has been very little activity in the poker forum for quite some time. Are there still poker players hanging around? Would love to get a bit of discussion going if so.
If you are here and want to talk poker let me know - if I don't get any replies I will assume the poker players have all gone in other directions.

I'm still here and would love to talk poker. I've been playing for a few years but found that some online platforms have high buy-ins, which can be a bit stressful and takes away some of the fun.
Recently, I discovered some 10€ free casinos that offer poker. Playing there has been great because I can enjoy the game without risking a lot of my own money. The free bonus lets me play a few hands and get comfortable before spending any cash.

AVOID Nitro Betting. They offer rakeback but there's no games....and
I was told to play poker on this site cause of the rake program so I decided to give a shot. Deposited $600. I open the poker software and there's no players so I responded where's all the people? Person responded that people typically log on in the evening. I played someone with my deposit and beat them. Ran my balance up to roughly $3000. Played another person a week later basically broke even. Made a sports bet and attempted to cash out. What good are funds in an account where I can't have action right? So first they disabled my withdrawal option after pending a review. I said no problem take your time. Then I'm told my play is suspicious, I responded with how? Constant nonsense back and forth no phone number given to call them and now they want ID. I ask let me speak to someone and they refuse to give me the number. I simply state to them to pay me or I'm going to blow this up so no one else gets cheated and the response was basically they could careless.
Avoid this place if you win you won't get paid, it's for losers only. I urge someone from that site to defend this message, they won't cause it's a scam outfit. How they have an elite rating is beyond me.

I always avoid online sites I have never heard of.

Sweet! Which events did you play and how often do you play live games?
I mostly play live poker so I go to Vegas a couple of times a year. Sometimes I will head to Cherokee, NC and play a few circuit events.
I played in the Salute to Warriors event - tried to repeat my great run last year. But only lasted 12 hours - no cash. I played in the Colossus and made Day 2 - but only a min cash. I was getting sick by then so couldn't play anymore and came home early.
I am heading back in November - no special event, so will probably just play at the Wynn.

Yeaah, I'm surprised there's so little discussion on poker here.
Black Friday put a damper on things for me. I had a balance at FT,only, less than about $200 or so. Never did see it. I managed to barely get under the wire at Absolute, having cashed for $4K about three days before. won squat at FT or Stars, but Absolute was great, for whatever reason. Since I'm SO GOOD, it musta been a buncha a bots at the latter sites. I hadn't played in a couple years, and deposited $350 in ARC, playing mainly $15-30 HL holdem sit n gos and an occasional Omaha PL hi lo. Don't like the UI as well there.
Always like talking poker.

Hey - yea we never dreamed in 2011 that we would still not have good legal poker in most states. I had about $7500 on PokerStars when Black Friday went down but I got it all back within a few weeks. I had about $3k on Full Tilt and did get that back a few years later after PS bought them.
I play mostly live poker now. Heading out to Vegas next week and will play in a few tournaments while there.

Glad to hear you had your money returned. I contacted them, I don't even remember how many times and gave up. I haven't played much live poker, except some home games and a few at the an Indiana casino. I don't know if I have have the chops for 'em these days, you (I) need to play regularly to keep sharp. BOL in LV!

I used to play a lot of poker and enjoyed the strategy and competition, but I noticed the scene has slowed down in many forums like this one. These days, I¡¯ve switched to online casino games for a change of pace. They¡¯re more flexible and less time-consuming compared to poker tournaments, which often require long hours.
One reason for the switch is the variety of bonuses available. Platforms like those found on Bonus Burst offer no-deposit options and loads of bonuses, which make exploring new games much more fun and risk-free. It¡¯s been a nice way to keep the thrill of gaming alive without committing to poker¡¯s grind.
