Led Zeppelin 4th studio album which contains one of the all time great tracks stairway to heaven, was actually untitled. The album cover doesn't even have their name or album title, why was that?
It's because after the band released their 3rd album, Led Zeppelin 3, they themselves thought it was great, but in actuality it was pale in comparison to their first 2 albums. So in response to the lack accolades that they thought they deserved, they did their 4th album as such as a semi act of fuck you, lol. Well, we can all agree that album is one of the all time greats. The point here being that sometimes even great ones can put out a mediocre product but then they come back with a vengeance and out do themselves.
