Terrible news for the Fleet and the league. The AAF can't afford quarterback injuries...the league craves offense. They need to find a way to get Johnny Manziel and even Chad Kelly into AAF uniforms ASAP

Something tells me the xfl is watching both players and the aaf , do they want to try and draft players and spend $ or do something like the aaf did? Was this a good time of yr to play? To me that's like nascar , I watch very little nascar during the nfl season unless it's on a Saturday night , if it rain's and there's no race who see's it on a Monday? I watch the CFL when it's on and that's on in what july. So one I don't think I would go up against the nfl but I do like the 10 week season so now do you team up with the aaf spend $ get players through a draft like the usfl and the time of yr to play. You know people are going to watch baseball when it starts.I kind of like the June , july , Aug then the nfl starts people have had time to watch baseball , but the start of the season may go up against the nba playoffs. Take some rules from all football. But still be able to hit the qb.

It would be great for the League ,if they could get Manzeil..I think it would first depend on what he did to get himself banned from Canadian League.
Did he do something serious?
The CFL has not yet (to my knowledge) revealed what specific term within the agreement Manziel violated...

I don't think we'll ever learn exactly what he did but there are rumours posted that he failed to meet with some of the people that he had to meet with to satisfy the T&As of his CFL contract. I wouldnt be surprised we find out he did it purposely to get out of his CFL contract in hopes of an American opportunity...

There were a few things in the Commanders /Iron game that I found interesting....
I haven't seen this in other games ,but there was a flag thrown by the Sky Judge," and via instant replay review it was determined that major penalty occurred...The eight officials on the field missed the call..San Antonio
defensive back Duke Thomas laid an unnecessary late hit on defenseless Birmingham wide receiver Tobias Palmer.,..............a 15 yard penalty was accessed on SA D-back Thomas..
,,and an unbelievable six play goal line stand from the Iron one yard line..by the Birmingham ..
Also with less than five minutes remaining in the
game, Birmingham tried the League's second onside conversion attempt
(failed on an interception)..

Murray was a game changer last week. It appears that he can make every throw. Plus, what he did with his legs should not be forgotten. They could not stop him.

I wouldn't bet on ATL. Yes Aaron Murray has improved the offense, but they still only scored 14 points at Arizona.
Memphis is a much better team with Mettenberger at QB. If he had played the entire game week 2 vs Arizona, a game they lost 20-18 with Hackenberg at QB I think they win that game.
If Mettenberger plays the whole game at Orlando in week 3, they might have won that game too. They lost 21-17. So Memphis is 1-3, but if the obviously better QB had been playing all along, they could be what? 2-2? 3-1?
I don't think ATL's home field is much of an advantage, their first home game vs Birmingham their small stadium was mostly empty.
I'd look for Memphis RB Zac Stacy to have a big game today. Although they won last week, the ATL defense gave up 110 yards on 14 carries (7.9 ypc) to AZ RB Jhurell Pressley. If the Memphis D is was good enough to hold league best Orlando to 21 points on the road I don't think Aaron Murray and co are going to do any better.

Mettenberger has made a world of difference. Hackenberg is a slob. But Memphis was down big last week. It was a perfect storm. Nelson got hurt. Martz put his 3rd string QB in a position to turn the ball over. Which he did. Thats what kept Memphis in the game. Singletary is WAY TOO conservative. IF he put the game in Mettenberger's hands he would be better off. That will not happen. Singletary will not open it up until they are down double digits. Ill take my chances with Murray and Zampese.

I watched the Atlanta game last week, and though they couldn't get it in the end zone, Murray was leading this team in a big way.
My thoughts would be to play on Atlanta..
Your thoughts or opinion
My knowledge is limited in the aaf
Thanks
JC22,
I'm rooting for Aaron Murry and The Legend to do well ..Murry's a vast improvement over QB Matt Simms..
Aaron Murry has the ability to do well...for sure ...Murray had a record-breaking career at UGA in
which he became the SEC's all-time career touchdown and passing yards
leading passer ...surpassing Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Matthew Stafford.
If, Murry gets in rhythm this week ..The Legend should do very well at home ..
Also keep an eye out for former U of M running back Denard Robinson he has the ability to break one open for the Legend..
