I think it's hard to be a professional gambler and actually enjoy the game for fun. My emotions toward the winning or losing of my favorite teams, or the fanatical aspect of it in general, went away the day I made my first bet. I'm purely engaged only when I'm risking money.

It's like going to the strip club and not bringing money; to me, at this point, that's what it feels like. But yeah, to each its own. Let's go Mets!

I happen to agree with you 100%. So-called professional gamblers and wise guys may only be 5-10% of the gambling world. The rest of us are recreational gamblers who make up the other 90%. Every time you try to ¡°force¡± a wager it always tends to end up in flames.
I have been a sports gambler for over 50 years and have found it very enjoyable to keep the wagers small and under control. It works for me and it feeds the soul. If you want to try and be a big shot you will eventually go down in flames. These are the gamblers who end up begging family members for money and ruin friendships and lives. For Christ¡¯s sake keep it simple and try to retain some kind of common sense and personal control. You will live a much better life. I promise.

Seems like everyone in the Covers community passed on the game and just watched it.
Will it be ok to bet on Saturday?
