Planning to be in Vegas for the Super Bowl?

We are.

Covers.com will be in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl (Feb. 3-7), and in particular at The Palazzo.

Just curious, do you have to register to attend or anybody can walk-in? Also, when you say "tell us about yourself" do you mean like we have to stand up and introduce ourselves or can we just buy a round for everybody?

I would register so they have a head count. I'm sure an active forum participant can bring a friend. Lets not abuse the kind invitation.

lagasses is a great set up to watch games. its like a espn zone ,except they have a sportsbook inside the resturaunt. i wont be flying in to vegas until saturday morning. staying at venetian and ready to have a good time. have fun at the party!

FYI: The old ESPN Zone is now THe Sporting House at NY-NY...much better than Lagasse (cheaper...more hdtv's)...with a new self-betting kiosk in the restaurant, next to the bar....

lagasses is a great set up but it does get PACKED!!!! expeirenced that during last years afc championship and nfc championship. superbowl game is already sold out. im also staying at venetian and also have a room at caesars but about to cancel that!!!

i was at the sporting hosue and had a great time back in october. the sportsbook is right outside the door,so the new kiosk must be new, which is a great idea. i just sat at the bar there and was served by a very nice lady bartender. cool place.didnt eat anything , due to the drinking the night before. but that pizza place in ny-ny is awesome.

Wanted to pose a question to VG

I myself wont be in Vegas for the Superbowl, however my parents and about 8 of their friends will be (All about mid-50's). I'm actually unsure of where they are all staying...but they are looking for somewhere to watch the game.

They are not going to wake up at the ass crack of dawn to get spots in the Sportbooks. They will have a rental car, so anywhere you can suggest would be appreciated.

Have them contact Casa Di Amore on Tropicana Ave....go to their website....

It's an "old Vegas" Italian restaurant that sets up for Super Bowl....they even send a limo to the hotel to pick them up if needed....

Checked out the site, but almost positive they are not going to spend $125 a head. Any other suggestions...would be greatly appreciated.

Any place decent...for a group...is going to ask for something in that "neighborhood"....food, booze, wide-screen tv's, etc....It is illegal to charge to watch the game, so restaurants throw a package deal.....There is no reason that they should sit in a sportsbook...even if they could get seats....especially since they're a group....

Find out where they are staying and, perhaps, I can offer other suggestions....

I'm about 90% sure they are staying at Excalibur (The majority I think) I have a buddy that does some work for DonBest and he's told me he has a friend that can get them a table somewhere...I told him I was thinking something along the lines of $250-300 for a table/booth. I know in past years, I've been able to get something like this on a Friday/Saturday night at a club (Think it was Tao) and have heard places like this are getting into the SuperBowl scene.

Also, a friend of his works at CaboWabo...and they are apparently doing some type of Superbowl party...that this friend is supposed to be checking the availability on for me.

Just heard about Jackson's....Flamingo and Jones...$30...all you can eat and drink....doesn't get cheaper than that...real locals spot for UFC and Sunday FB.....
