Cantor's philosophy is "make your bet and leave"....that's not a knock on them; but they are running a business and see the sportsbook as a place to make bets NOT to sit around all day and drink beers and yell at the tv screens....In fact, most of their books have a no drinks, no smoking policy because they are separate from the hotel/casino and have no desire to be billed for comp drinks for their bettors....they could care less if you place craps or slots and could care less if you are a comped player in the hotel because they are a separate entity...
Once again, this is NOT a knock on them...they run a great operation and will be getting even better with the competition from William Hill.....

I walked throught the new book in March. I thought the book looked great & had a good vibe. 100x better than the old dump. Not sure on the rooms _ I have never stayed there.
Good Luck

Sounds like a Sh*tty business motto, 100% not for me, See I dont give a sh*t about blackjack or any other table rippoff, I dont care about anything in or outside the casino or las vegas other than sitting my A$$ on a comfortable chair from 7:30 AM Saturday morning until 10:30 PM Saturday night or later if there is a Hawaii game on and On Sundays repeat except its 8:30 AM to around 8:45 PM, I dont care about free drinks, but I do love and I mean love the sportsbook atmosphere, seeing other degenerates thrwo down there hillbilly caps and cuss and swear while spit flys out of there STD filled mouths is priceless for me, I make maybe 5 bets on Saturday but by watching every game, I make roughly another 13 to 20 2nd half bets, so Cantors Philosophy can blow a horse.
Ill stick with MGM Grand and the Las Vegas Hilton

You really think that I am the only customer Vegas will lose if it goes the way you say its going to go?
So many idiots go to vegas for football season to do what I do, when the day is over, whether they are winning or losing at the books, they end up hitting the tables hard.
How much more do you think Vegas makes during football season?
Im not saying off the books, we all know that the hold is extremely low, but the fact is football season brings in all these people and they all lose playing table games.
Take away the seats and make it like you say, Place your bet and get out, WHY EVEN BOTHER WITH VEGAS as online sportsbooks offer much better odds, I own a sportsbar I have 5 flat screen TVs and will have another 2 by football season, If Vegas wants to treat people like you say, Place your bet and leave,
I am better off betting offshore and watching the games at my restaurant.

Mafioso......The Vegas operation is like a pimple on a gnat's ass compared to the national/international sports gambling industry....Hill and Cantor are USING Nevada as the "hub" point to develop the future.....your customers will be able to walk up to a machine in your bar (just like Leroy's....purchased by Hill) has now and make their sports bets and GET PAID IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME ENDS.....you will get a piece of the action from the take on your machine from the company that owns it...
Do you really think that offshore gambling will be able to compete with Hill and Cantor?.....

Have not seen the new book but if you stay at the Trop you may be a closer walk to the book at MGM Grand than people actually staying at the MGM.
MGM will have the same lines as Mandalay. I rather watch the games at Mandaly and you can catch the shuttle from Excaliber right across the street from the Trop
