Just got back from four nights in Vegas. The last four trips we stayed at NYNY and Mirage. Only good offer I received was from Paris which was $200 for 4 nights so we decided to give it a try. Not a bad place, great location, easy in and out. I tend to like the smaller casinos and Paris fit right in. Pool was average but it had a ton of lounge chairs and space to stretch.
First night we hit our normal party scene Carnival Court which is right outside of Harrahs. Its a cool outdoor bar, they have a great cover band and DJ that plays awesome tunes as well. Great mixture of people, mostly over 30 crowd which works for me since I'm 43.
Thursday we rented a car and with the intent of visiting a friend in Summerlin for dinner and checking out his new digs. Also, we wanted to to do some card counting at a locals casino because of the low $10 minimums, playing double deck BJ. Well the day started off nice, cool ride out to Summerlin on 215, started out at Red Rock Casino, god we absolutely loved that place, great sportsbook, bars, pool, would love to stay there some day. Just a fun place to be. After that we decided we would hit the Suncoast to do some counting. Keep in mind this was our first attempt at counting a double deck game in Vegas. After about two hours of spreading my bets from $10 to $55, and a whopping profit of $65, I was backed off!!! My buddy was at the table next to me and had just cashed out $900, but I was the one kicked out. lol
After a nice dinner in Summerlin, we hit the Spearmint Rhino to blow some of our profits and support the locals strippers of Las Vegas and help out with their education expenses. Been to the Rhino several times over the years and always found the women to be soooo sexy but I must admit that I was a little turned off with the talent this trip. Believe me I like a nicely place tat every now and then, but it just seemed like so many of them had tats all over their bodies, way too much artwork.
After Rhino, we dropped off the rental car, donned a clean set of clothes and hit Planet Hollywood. I must admit I love gambling at PH, the pleasure pit has gorgeous dealers and very sexy go-go dancers on stages. There is one blonde with the most perfectly heart shaped ass that we just in awe of. Dozens of guys just came to watch her wiggle her perfect ass. It might just be the most memorable sight of the entire trip. My birthday started at midnight and I won about $200 at BJ so it was a nice night, think we stumbled out of PH at 5:00am.
Friday we slept until noon and decided to relax at the pool all day, we dont drink alcohol during the day. Later on my buddy called in an escort thinking it was only gonna be $200. Of course a different girl showed up than was pictured on the ad, hit him for an upsell of another $300. She was so hot that he couldnt turn her down but was able to negotiate her down by $100.
My Summerlin buddy joined us for Friday and Saturday. Early Friday night we decide the check out the new Cosmopolitan, must admit that its spectacular, but we did feel out of place. Every girl was dressed to the max, lots of money flowing in the place. Not that we are low rollers by any means but it just felt like too much for us. Did another short tour of PH to see our favorite go-go dancer for a few minutes. The 3 of us always throw $20 each into a Wheel of Fortune machine, this time we got luck and hit for $400, gave us some money for alcohol. We moved onto Carnival Court again to continue my birthday celebration, hooked up with a group of cougars from Chicago and had a great time drinking and dancing.
Saturday was another pool day, followed by an awesome dinner at the Spice Market buffet in PH. Still one of my favorites and only $30, we always go right to the Alaskan King Crab legs, had 3 plates each. Followed dinner with another viewing of our favorite PH go-go dancer. Another great night at Carnival Court and some BJ winnings.
One thing that always boggles my mind is how bad people are at playing blackjack. I've been ranting about this for years but it was never worse than this trip. I literally sat down at a table in Paris with $200, the first hand dealt the dealer has an ace upcard, first guy has 13 and stands. Next round the dealer has a 2, first guy hits hit 15, his buddy hits his 16. I pushed my chips back and colored up and left. This continued all weekend. I would say that 90% of the people dont know how to play at all, if they dont have 20 or BJ they completely play their cards wrong. Why dont these people learn basic strategy or but one of those little cards in the gift shop?
Hope I didnt bore you guys but thats what went down.

Great trip report. Sounds like you guys had a great time.
My advice to anybody before they try counting cards is to STAY AWAY from the gimmicky "pleasure pits" or anything that remotely resembles it because of the horrible odds found at these tables.
6 to 5 BJ payout tables are popping up all over the place. I refuse to give my action to ANY of those tables.

Yeah the pleasure pit games are terrible, either single deck or 8 deck with 6 to5. Our card counting efforts were made at a locals casino with good rules, its was double deck with 3 to 2, did my research online before picking the casino. The pleasure pit was just for hanging and watching.
Oh forgot, capped off the trip with seeing Mike Tyson strolling through the airport with his wife and family. Hes lost a ton of weight. It was classic to me only because I've seen The Hangover about 50 times lol.

i was playing at a 6 deck table a few months ago, i hit with 12 vs a dealer 2. some lady at the table freaked out, you would have thought i just shot her dog. i told the lady first off, this is a $5 table, if you are so great at BJ, why arent you playing higher limits. i also mention that she can go to the gift shop and buy a BJ strategy card and it will tell you to hit with 12 or 13 vs a dealer 2. she said those cards are lies and a scam to get ppl to lose more money to the casino.
i learned a long time ago to not be amazed at how dumb some ppl can be
