Las Vegas Sands honcho Sheldon Adelson wins VT's Honest Guy of the Month award for February 2010.

We've essentially cut all of our comps except our most highly-rated players. No more comped rooms. No food and beverage. No showroom credits. We're selling rooms. We see it's resulting in a substantial increase in cash income.

Sheldon Adelson, who owns The Pallazzo and The Venetian has been cutting back on expenses and conducting layoffs since he opened the Pallazzo....used his money to follow Wynn to Asia...

He will still comp the major players that come to his hotels...he just won't comp anyone that spends their time on a website..and could care less.

Wow, that sucks!  I always enjoy the HR when I go out there.  The most fun I've ever had at a nightclub was at Body English and they shut it down! 

Also, I'm pretty sure Adelson was already in Macau with the Sands when Wynn arrived.  It was the Venetian Macau that came later.  As far as all the Macau hype, those properties have nothing on Vegas.  Was out at Wynn and MGM Macau in October, and the US properties blow them away.  You can just tell that not the same type of money was put into the construction of everything from the exterior to the bathroom fixtures.

If he wants to save money tell him to stop pumping that nasty insence smell.

The Venetian smells like a fucking voodoo room.

Whatever they are burning Iam sure costs money so tell them to stop burning it. 

Shit. Used to get a few nights comped mid-week pre-opening weekend NFL. Two years ago off some mailer was 3 nights at the V and last year was 4 comped at the Palazzo.Nice ass rooms with living room,and a printer that came in handy for Fantasy draft(s).

Looks like it's back to slumming it at the Gold Coast and whatever the Rio offers..Damn
