whats the drink situation like at the sportsbook there?
has anyone stayed there before, would you recommend it or suggest staying somewhere on the strip
Cantor Gaming now runs the book at the Hard Rock...totally re-done and VERY hot look and feel....the 21-35 age group that bets/drinks/partys will like it a lot....
It is a mile off the Strip but centered....
Each book does have a different drink policy....that is usually up to the VP Food & Beverage of the Hotel/Casino..and NOT the sportsbook manager....BUT, and forgive my saying this for the hundredth time, if you equate the drink policy in a sportsbook with how happy you are going to be on your trip, then you should prepare yourself for being pissed off.....
Some waitresses can be cool and work for tips...but they still prefer to work the casino for tips and not the $1 bills in the sportsbook.....Also, unless you're drinking bottled beer, you're gonna get low-end booze and watered down also....they monitor the service bar like maniacs.....
I always drink at a bar where I have the attention of a well-tipped bartender....I learned that way before you were born on the East side of NYC.....and Vegas is no exception.

PH did have a club but think it got closed down sometime last year because of a drinking/serving violation i believe. the club was the same group that owns OPM in south beach in miami. I would still stay there because you have the bank at the bellagio and pure at caesars across the street, you have lavo and tao at venetian/palazzo, you have tryst, xs, and surrender at wynn/encore, you have jet at mirage, etc. these are all GREAT clubs and its all either down the street or across the street. if you want good pool parties besides rehab, you have bare at mirage, WET at MGM, another one at wynn/encore that i forgot the name at that opened last year i believe, and one at caesars. save yourself the cab fare and stay at PH or another strip hotel and if you want to go to party at hard rock just pay the cab fare to get there once instead of paying a cabbie from hard rock to the strip everytime you wanna go out to the strip.
