hey guys, heading to Planet Hollywood in April. I know this was talked about a bit before sometime last year, but if I slide a $20 or $50 at front desk, does that seriously help out in getting an up grade to my room? I was going to pay for an upgrade, but wow not too sure its worth the extra cake..Just asking if it works or if any body has done it rescently..thanks a bunch and good luck!

I heard the same thing too. Didn't try it when I stayed there because the room we were in was big enough any way. I also heard you can tip to get a higher floor, equaling a better view.

Try asking the question at www.vegasmessageboard.com in the LV Hotel and Casinos thread.

People who have tried the $20 trick at PH will report on it's success or not there or at least give you an idea of what room type,floor to ask for.Also a good idea to have some reason why you would appreciate the upgrade- Anniversary etc.just some BS so the clerk taking the $ also has an excuse to give you a free upgrade.

At the least even w/o an upgrade,now at CET props you're tipping to check in early/avoid resort fees coming in April.Good Luck

Seriously No joke here, I reserve the two queen beds at Rio, When I slip a 20 at check in, They upgrade me to the Premiere rooms.

At PH, I went from the hollywood room to Fountain View.

So Yes for me, it has alway worked, I am also very friendly and patient.

you shouldnt have to slip anybody anything at the front desk
just ask them you want an upgrade and be nice
