I'll be trying to play in a morning tourny each day I'm in Vegas. I did some research and made a list of the casinos that have tournies and the buy-ins for each.
Has anyone played in these? If so, what is the turnout like? Would I be better off just sitting at a table?

And, if you haven't checked it out already, All Vegas Poker has a complete (although possibly dated) breakdown of all the tournaments in town.
Also, if you are playing in the morning, I'd advise sticking to tournaments over cash games. Most games during the day are rocky with very few drunk/recreational players and more local grinders... The "bad" players come out at night.

From my experience, Venetian always has great turnouts. The one time I played at Caesar's, we couldn't even fill up 3 tables. MGM seems to turn out a decent amount of people, but the return is less than some other places. MB also had a weak turnout. And from what i remember, Binion's had a decent turnout (40+) for a cheap buy-in at like 2 in the morning. Can't remember playing tourneys anywhere else.
Like MrGlue said, check out avp. It has info on the current tourneys. GL.

Thanks for the info. I'll be heading to Vegas for the first time next Sunday. I'll check out Venetian. Anything less than 40 players and I'm not really interested.
