I'd like to hear some reviews of this establishment from anyone who has gambled there. I like the proximity away from all the bullshit on the strip.

Not quite certain what you mean by "bs on the Strip",,,but if you are looking to gamble off the Strip...but still in Vegas, I would look at The Rio, Orleans, and Palms and not at any Stations casino.

I play mostly video poker.They have a bank of machines a friend and I used to play for hours and usually would win or lose very little.Was fun to play because you never felt like you were gonna lose much if you did and you were gonna put alot of points on your card.Well after Stations encountered there $$$ problems and uncertincy of which casinos they were gonna keep and which ones not, this bank of machines has not been the same.This coincided with them no longer sending out mailers for free play or free rooms.To bad,this was a fun place to play.Table minimums were usually $5.The buffet is pretty vanilla but still OK.Forget the name of the Mexican restaurant, but it was always good and not to expensive.

Snooze's response along with the fact that the company has gone through at least 2 bankruptcies and cannot sell their properties ought to convince you that, other than Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock, the Station Casinos are dumps....

...if you are that negative about "the Strip," then you should really avoid this level of casino....

If u stay there be SURE you get a tower room...the others are crappy motel rooms

They do have a good mexican restaurant with a video poker bar...they will comp drinks (margaritas!) and give u chips, salsa and bean dip...a cheap meal

try the Gold Coast last I was there in Sept the bartops are still 9/6 payout.Close to the strip and Rio (bad vp) and Palms across the streets.

Like everyone else has said before- Palace Station is old and sort of run down. Another thing not mentioned is that it has that musty, smokey casino smell. Maybe you should take a look at the downtown casinos. They offer good deals and there are several bars/restaurants worth checking out.
