Mandarin Oriental vs Wynn/Encore

So, I normally stay at the Bellagio when I'm out in Las Vegas, but for my 40th birthday in April I'm thinking of splurging on either the Wynn or the Mandarin Oriental. Does anyone have any info on the Mandarin? Also, what is the difference between staying at the Wynn and staying at the Encore?

I'm also interested in renting a luxury car for the trip, maybe a Jaguar or BMW, if there is a recommendation for those type of services as well. Thanks.

Does the mandarin oriental have its own casino?

The only casino at the City Center complex is at Aria...

As to the two options: Mandarin Oriental is about service, quiet, beauty, and very $$$ living. It is a 5-star hotel worldwide. The Wynn and/or Encore...not much difference to me...is about "Power/American Style"...Remember, The Bellagio was built/run by Steve Wynn; he took the best (in his mind) of that hotel/casino and created The Wynn...then created Encore because both he and Sheldon Adelson (Venetian then Pallazzo) felt that Vegas could handle the expansions.

Remember, you "get things" at The Wynn because of your action...there is no action at Mandarin Oriental. They do not connect to the casino at Aria for comping.

Take a look at the new Cosmopolitan also.....it might surprise you.

Nothing beats the Wynn IMO. I really do not like to stay anywhere else.

Its very disappointing that Mandarin did not put a casino in there hotel.

Disappointing?....A casino would absolutely destroy the concept and quality of Mandarin Oriental....Have you stayed in any Mandarin Orientals anywhere in the world?

Thanks vegasgourmet, appreciate your insights. I have stayed at the Mandarin in Hong Kong for work and it is amazing. I figure there are enough casinos in Vegas, I won't lack for one just because my hotel doesn't have one. I will check out the Cosmopolitan as well.

The Encore is a new wing, same owner as the Wynn. Not much difference between the two.

U can rent some nice rides at the Venetian hotel.

When I was there back in 09, we tried to go in the Ferrari dealership. They told us unless you own a Ferrari and can prove it that it would be $10 for us to go in. We told them to get fucked.
